Two local owners, needs to be restored, no reserve!

You are looking at a Barn Find Vintage 1973 Buick Opel GT Survivor. 39. 92 original mile project. This barn find has had what we believe to be two owners and has been fairly well taken care of.

This vehicle was purchased by the 2nd owner out of an estate. The first owner bought it new. and was picked up from the address on the original title. While the interior is outstanding and the body looks nice. it is a project and needs to be reconditioned.

Cosmetically. it is a beauty from 4 inches up on the body. Above 4 inches from the bottom. it is outstanding. Below. it will need some work due to storage. There are holes and rust as shown. The good news is that it was rust proofed when new and parts of the car are outstanding.

The underbody does have some rust. but it is also fairly solid. There are holes in the front nose pan under the battery. The passenger's door is fairly rusty with holes at the very bottom in the middle as shown. The rest of the door is surprisingly solid. Parts of the car were repainted years ago. The undercoating shown is from Ziebart rustproofing when the car was new.

Mechanically. the car sat for too long and the engine is stuck. These can many times be freed up with automatic transmission fluid down the cylinder. We did not try anything. Also. the automatic transmission linkage was disconnected years ago. We are unsure why but the rods are there. It probably will also need brakes and fuel/ brake lines.  

The good news is when we connected a battery up. everything but the headlights worked. The horn. radio. heater. wipers. directionals. hazards. dash lights. and even the interior light. The keys and locks are all present as well.

As nice as it looks. this should be considered a project and needs to be reconditioned. Please look carefully at all the photos to gauge condition before bidding.

This vehicle is sold as-is. We cannot warranty any parts and as with any vintage vehicle. they are always a project in some way. Please note this before bidding if you are looking for a vehicle that will operate like a new vehicle. Collector cars are many times tempermental and reliability can be a factor on some. We also did not test each accessory or feature. and only drove the vehicle for a short distance. Also note there are marks and dings from use and age.

Any of these should be trailered to their destination until the vehicle is checked over for safety (tires. etc). The title is free and clear. and we are also requiring a bill of sale be signed by the new owner stating this car is being purchased as-is and is a project.

The successful high bidder needs to contact us within 48 hours of auction end and submit payment by means of cashier's check (verifiable) or wire transfer within 7 days of auction end. Out of state buyers are responsible for all state. county. city taxes and fees. and any applicable title service fees in the state that the vehicle will be registered.

All shipping charges are buyer's responsibility. We can help with shipping arrangements but will not be responsible in any way for claims arising from shipping damage. We assume no responsibility for damages incurred after the vehicle leaves our possession. We are not affiliated with any carrier. Any claims or other communication regarding shipment of vehicles will be between you and the shipper. not with the seller.

The terms of sale shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wisconsin without regard to any conflict of laws or provisions thereof that might indicate the applicability of laws of any other jurisdiction. The venue for all legal proceedings shall be in Waukesha County. Wisconsin.

For items sold to Wisconsin residents or picked up locally we are required to collect Wisconsin sales tax. Any item needs to be paid in full within 3 days if paying by PayPal.
