1968 PLYMOUTH ROADRUNNER **NO RESERVE**

It is understood this vehicle had been delivered new. 46 years ago. and it is not practical to come with any type of guarantee. or warrantee. and one cannot expect one.

I have owned this vehicle for the past 8 years. have kept it in a garage. have taken it out maybe 8 to 12. nice days per year. to drive mostly back and forth from local car shows. It is very sad to have to sell this car; i'm relocating after 30 years. nbsp;and cant take it with.

This vehicle is a solid driver vehicle. It starts up easy. it idles nicely with that familiar low speed MoPar rumble. drives away nicely. and flawlessly glides through the 4 speed transmission.

This vehicle is not a pristine show car. certainly not a trailer queen. looks great from 10 feet. looks better from 20 feet. If you get up very close and examine it. one will notice many imperfections one would expect from an amateur restoration. This car does however get its share of attention. from both novices and experts. and has won many trophies at local car shows for its Spartan look. Occasionally it is judged superior to. sitting next to a professionally restored 1968 or 1969 in the higher $35K to $45K price range.

This is not a numbers matching vehicle. however. see fender tag decoding I have attached to this auction. One can see that it is the original color PP1 matador red. and mostly everything else is original also. and restored. unless noted if known.

The seller specifically represents the following. which shall not be construed as any type of warrantee. however. represents a basic description.

1)     The vehicle is a 1968 model year Plymouth roadrunner VIN RM23H8G219080

2)     The vehicle is owned by the seller with clear title.

3)     Vehicle has a freshly rebuilt 383 cubic inch magnum 1969 date code engine. Engine does not leak or smoke. starts easily. idles nicely. and drives well.

4)     Vehicle has a 4 speed manual transmission. new clutch. re-surfaced flywheel.

5)     Engine is bored . 030 over. and as rebuilt. has new pistons. new stock cam. new stock lifters. new timing chain. new high volume oil pump. new valve job. new factory intake with holley 750 cfm carburetor.

6)     Rear end is 8 ¾ “ with 3:23 gears

7)     Engine compartment has all components shown in pictures. and includes updated stock high capacity radiator. updated belts. updated hoses. The car warms up nice. runs at specified temperature. and does not overheat.

8)     Vehicle has updated wheel cylinders. updated master cylinder. new brake shoes. new brake hoses all around.

9)     Vehicle has new shocks.

10)  Vehicle has new carpet in interior. and a new trunk mat.

11)  Vehicle has all new front end parts including new ball joints. new bushings. new tie rod ends.

12)  Window glass. windshield are all in good condition and windows are functional. There are minor imperfections on window glass. however. they are complete and there is no cracks.

13)  Doors. trunk lid. engine compartment hood open and close and lock.

14)  The trunk pans and floor pans are solid.

15)  The frame rails are solid.

16)  The interior is in decent shape as shown from photos.

17)  The vehicle has a new dual exhaust system.

18)  The vehicle has magnum 500 wheels. and radial tires. in good condition.

19)  Electrical components are in working order with exception of the dash tachometer which is there. is complete. but represented not to work.

20)  The body work is not represented to be professional. and is not perfect. The pictures tell. There are blemishes.  This car will win at local shows and you'll be proud to own it. The body certainly however has the potential to be made show quality with little investment. The car looks pretty good as-is. just not perfect.  

21) The odometer reads 16. 00. I cant verify that this vehicle has been driven 16. 00 miles. since original delivery.
