1978 Classic MG MGB Convertble/Roadster Easy Project- Presentable-Good Condition

1978 MG MGB CLASSIC/ ANTIQUE ROADSTER CONVERTIBLE

Here we have a very nice looking MGB. these cars are just awesome and fun to drive. This car most certainly turns head and isn't a headache to work on. they are fairly simple and parts are available for them everywhere.

I obtained this car from a friend of mine who owed me some money and gave it to me as a form of payment. it was either I take this or nothing. therefore I don't have much history on it. I can tell for you certain that he was driving it as a daily driver.

I have had many MGs in the past and this one is in very good presentable shape. not a rust bucket.

I planned on keeping the vehicle but however find myself in the position to sell it because I have to many projects and am running out of space. Hopefully the next owner will be able to enjoy her.

This car looks very presentable. the interior is in fair shape and it's usable the way it is. it has a new convertible top. the paint is very presentable as well. It's not a show car. but you can get away with its current paint job.

This vehicle could be used as a daily driver the way it is. The floorboards seem straight they have no rust underneath. The only places I see rust on are the corner of the bottom of the rocker-panels near the tires (passenger and driver side. rear. near doors. nd near passenger door front tire corner. not on doors). very little on both sides barely nothing. and the other side is near the fender by the headlights on the passenger side. just a small bubble.

The car has been resprayed. I can tell when I open the hood. I can see the original color which was a lighter yellow. MGs came in  a lighter yellow. the respray they did seems like a fair job. and it seems like it'll hold up as well.

The interior of the car is in fair shape. it is presentable and usable. it could be left alone. or if the next owner desires and wishes to restore it. it's up to them.  

The convertible top is brand new. It's missing the mirrors. they seem to be broken off. (not a big deal. they have these available at affordable prices).

At the moment the vehicle is currently not running. the prior owner stated that the vehicle was daily driver until it just stopped running and that the problem was electrical. Upon inspection of the vehicle. it was determined by a qualified mechanic that the radiator seems to be brand new and that the reason why it wasn't running was because it needed a new distributor and new wiring to the starter (so that the motor may turn over). a temporary electrical installation was made to determine this. so the engine does turn over and is not seized. Being to the nature of this being an older vehicle I do not offer any warranties on the motor. I do not know the condition of the engine at all.   Please do not bid on this vehicle if you have no intention of purchasing and following through with the transaction. eBay insertion fees are expensive and are not refundable. You are purchasing a 36 year old vehicle. this isn't a turn key car. I had a buyer click on the buy it now price and he wanted me to fix the vehicle for him so that he may follow through with the transaction and wanted to offer me less then the buy it now price that he clicked on. please don't do this. I am selling the vehicle because I don't have much space and have too many projects at the moment. I will be listing more cars on eBay. that may be interest to classic car enthusiasts. I have set the reserve price at $ 1. 00. 00 which seems completely fair for this MG.

This vehicle can be fixed and kept as is. as a daily driver with minor repairs. or it can be restored. There are no warranties on this car whatsoever. it is sold as is. no refunds or exchanges. it is an older vehicle therefore anything can happen. I have described the vehicle to the best of my knowledge. it would make a very nice car. with very minor repairs. The way it is now. it looks very presentable and could be just fixed and made into a daily driver. I have excellent feedback and am not here to lie to anyone. have to many projects. and getting rid of them.  I have a clean title to it. the car doesn't not appear to have been in an accident or have any frame damage. I don't have much history on the car so please don't ask any questions on this.

Vehicle is for local pick up only. unless winning bidder makes and pay's for all arrangement's for shipment. transport and loading of car as we have no way in assisting loading of car. but can gladly meet anyone for such arrangements. Full payment is due in the form of Cash upon pickup as long as it is done within 7 days of Auction End or by Certified Bank Funds. PayPal. Cashiers Check. Personal Check Mailed to and received within a reasonable amount of time after auction has Ended and then we will gladly hold the car for winning bidder to pick up for at least for 30 Days after Auction Ended. we can hold the longer if needed. A Non refundable deposit of $200. 00 is required to show good faith on behalf of the buyer and pay for listing expenses if buyer does not fall through with the transaction.
