Up for auction is my 1979 Jeep CJ5 Renegade Levi Edition. This Jeep was frame off restored and it has 397 miles since the restoration.

 

 

The Black paint is absolutely as slick as glass with a deep mirror finish. It has the correct Blue Renegade stripe package as well. The windshield glass and the rubber seal were replaced. It has stainless windshield hinges. door hinges. side mirrors. hood latches. hood hinges. grill cover. and head light bezels. It also has new fender flares. marker lights. and Steel Horse tubular bumpers. The wheels are Center Line Forged billet aluminum wheels from their Wilderness series (3200 lb. load rating per wheel)… The tires are 16" Maxxis Buckshot Mudder Tires. The Buckshot Mudder is perhaps Maxxis' most popular off-road tire. The Buckshot boasts an extremely aggressive tread pattern as well as a rugged sidewall in order to handle even the most extreme terrain. In addition. the Buckshot Mudder features unique self-cleaning lugs that ensure maximum traction at all times.

 

 

The AMC 401 V8 engines are highly sought after because of their combination of rarity. toughness. and excellent power output. This 401 was rebuilt with performance in mind including a Comp Cam hydraulic flat tippet cam. and roller tip rockers. The motor has a forged steel crankshaft & connecting rods and is bored 0. 020 over. It also has an Edelbrock Performer AMC aluminum intake with a Holley 600cfm carburetor with electric choke. The distributor is MSD billet series with MSD Street Fire wires. The headers are Hedman outside the frame rail with side pipes (1-piece). It has a new radiator. and a new Super Start Premium battery. The valve covers are finned billet aluminum and the chrome breather has a 14x3 element. The fire wall. fender wells. and the underside of the hood were all painted black when this CJ was painted and it is neat and clean under the hood.

 

 

The transmission is a Borg Warner T-150 3-speed manual shift with a Dana Spicer Model 20 transfer case. The front is a Dana 30 and the rear is an AMC 20 12-bolt.

 

 

The interior looks great in its original blue color. The front seats are Rugged Ridge high backs (super comfortable). and the rear seat is the original Levi’s Blue Denim and the dash is also the original Blue denim dash. It has tilt steering. center console. and matching blue roll bar cover. and spare tire cover. The floor is rhino lined for a heat and sound barrier and it has Rubbermaid mats. The Jeep currently does not have a radio and also the clock and the tachometer doesn’t work. All of the lights do work inside and out and the Jeep lights up real nice at night. It comes with a blue bikini top and it does come with a blue soft top however the frame is not all there.

 

 

The undercarriage is clean with all new red poly bushings. new Rancho shocks. and the rust free frame and supports were sandblasted and painted black.

 

 

This is a nice Jeep and it runs… drives. handles. and brakes real good. It is a fun to drive and there are no mechanical issues that I can find whatsoever.

 

 

There are plenty of Jeeps on the market but very few in this condition and caliber. and then try to find a black one… almost impossible. The new owner will be very happy with this classic Jeep CJ!

 

 

I can pick you up at the Augusta GA or the Thomson GA airport on almost any day except Sunday. Fly here & drive it home!
