Largely original 1967 Amphicar with only 9. 22 actual miles! It has been collector kept nearly all its life being utilized only sparingly! Today. it remains rust free and ready to enjoy! A great piece for any collection or museum!

In 1962. an American auto manufacture joined up with a German manufacture to produce the first factory built. public dual-purpose vehicle for land and water use. The company was Amphicar and the Model 770 was born. It was a street legal convertible. and a water ready boat all in one! Manufactured in small quantities each year from 1961 through 1965. only 3. 78 were said to have been when manufacturing stopped. Late production examples were titled in the year they were first sold & registered. so finding 1966-1968 examples can be common. All of which are now extremely rare and highly prized collectibles!

We are excited to offer this largely original 1967 Amphicar Model 770 finished in Beach White with White/Red interior and brand new white convertible top. Options include the original. number's matching Triumph 1147cc OHV 4 cylinder engine with single Solex carburetor. 4-speed fully synchromesh manual transmission. heater with defrost. MotoMeter gauges. polished wheel covers. 6. 40-13” BF Goodrich Silvertown whitewall tires. and dual rear propellers! This example comes with only 9. 27 original miles and has been beautifully maintained in original condition!

It appears to have been only cosmetically restored to include newer exterior paint along with a brand new White convertible top. weather seals. boot cover. nd interior vinyl floor mat. The interior appears to be all original surviving with original door panels. sun visors. and upholstery. Recently. we had new rear chrome bumpers installed. door handles & hubcaps were re-chromed. new tail fin & taillight moldings. taillight gaskets. and hood navigation lens all replaced for new. It will come complete with a partial owner's manual. matching spare tire. jack. navigation light bar. and hood & trunk lock/release key.

This example hails from a long-term Massachusetts collection before making its way to Ohio more recently. We are confident this Amphicar is ready for water usage. but has not likely been in the water very often since new. The hull itself is in great condition showing no signs of damage or rust proving it has been dry most of its life. These extraordinary cars appear on the market every so often. but to find one with such low mileage and largely original overall is a real treat!
