The car was dry stored from 2001/2002. and was never driven up and till January 2013. It was stored for over 10 years and has not been taxed or MOT'd during this period. The car is in remarkable condition and all the electrics function perfectly including the Electric hood operation. it has the original radio/cassette player. number plates supplied by Jaguar and over mats and has never been modified.   ENGINE/DRIVETRAIN   Mechanically the car drives very well. although have noticed a slight squeaking noise coming from the Divers front wheel which may be a sticking brake. and a slight vibration in the steering which feels like a wheel out of balance (the stick on weights on the wheels are missing). The engine starts up well. and the automatic choke function works as it should. their is no oil leaks or water leaks. no tappety or knocking noises from the engine. Gearbox and drive train are good with gear changes being very smooth.  I would only recommend that the new buyer gives the car a full service and that it requires a new battery.   BODYWORK   The car is very solid. and has previously been waxoyled. The rear part of both sills have have had small sections repaired. and it looks like the car has had some paint up to the coach lines in the past but the car is still very original and solid and all the panels are original from new. The rear arches are solid and the front arches are good also. The bonnet has some small stone chip marks towards the front. one of the headlights has a very small minor crack but no water ingress. the drivers front foglight has a cracked lens. and the rear bootlid requires the latch adjusting. also the rear antenna grommit rubber requires replacement and a new rubber bung is required for the boot floor. boot floor is solid as has been waxoyled from new.  Their is a small tear on the convertible hood by the drivers side by the quarter glass and I would recommend that the interior convertible roof trim is either replaced or professionally valeted/cleaned . Glass is all good.  brightwork is all good but to make it perfect could do with polishing up.  Interior is very good with no excesive wear. and in my opinion just requires a good leather clean and conditioner treatment to the seats. the wood trim is all in excellent condition.   Overall a excellent original car that has been maintained by Jaguar dealers and enthusiast owners from new and requires very littke to make it perfect. ready to use for the summer.   I have two sets of keys for the car. two immobiliser keys and one remote keyfob. I have all paperwork for the car (see photo) including V5 Document. Current MOT. two old MOT'S. all original manuals. owners pack. service book. and copies of the aftermaket warranties from Jaguar .  and a Remote central locking alarm is fitted.   I took this car in after having owned a 1967 fastback mustang. and the Jag is a lovely car to look at and to drive. it is a appreciating British Classic and will certanly be a good investment.   XJS Convertibles with a good service history such as this are going up in value and I have seen them range from £8. 00 - £10. 00 upwards. This car has one of the best colour combinations and needs a new enthusiast owner.     Any other questions please ask.   More photos availble to view at   http://s783. photobucket. com/user/huddsfastback67/library/Jaguar%20XJS         I AM LOCATED IN HUDDERSFIELD WEST YORKSHIRE.
