1989 Suzuki Sidekick JX hardtop, 4WD, Auto, runs and drives great, EFI 1.6L NR

Up for sale. 1989 Suzuki Sidekick JX 4WD. These little 4WDs are a great daily driver. or are tons of 4WD fun. Light and nimble and can go about anywhere and is RV towable. Easy to drive. easy to work on. easy to upgrade. Lots of room in back for cargo. dogs. or camping gear. This is not an abused. or rusted out. or problem vehicle. It passes smog. is fully registered. and is ready to drive.

reliable 1. 6L Electronic Fuel Injected (EFI) 4-cylinder engine. The engine appears to have been well taken care of. I did a compression check and got over 160psi in all 4 cylinders. The plugs looked good and no oil. but I went ahead and replace them anyway. The timing belt. water pump. and radiator were replace at 100k miles. It runs at a very consistent temperature.

I have fixed many of those annoying little issues that after being fixed make a much better daily driver: Exhaust leak. door switch for dome light. door handles. nbsp;broken spare tire mounting bolt. windshield washer. I also replaced the rear brakes including the shoes. hardware kit. nbsp;drums. studs. nbsp;lugnuts. and flushed the lines with new fluid. It now has a really good strong pedal and brakes great. The rear brakes are often neglected on many of these Suzuki's since it takes a special tool to remove the drums. so that is all taken care of now and it is ready for another 100k. It runs and drives great after a short warm up. Transmission delays shifts until warm. Works good once warm or hot. Back tires are good. Will need front tires soon. They are wearing evenly. just a lot of miles on them. Needs right window regulator.

The stereo has been upgraded to a nice JVC AM/FM/CD. Has front RV towing brackets and lighting plug (not tested).
Current tags and smog certificate. Passed with no problem with very average readings.

Body is very good. a few dings. Paint is ok. faded around edges that got the most sun. Interior is very clean. Dash is nice. Carpet is actually very clean. New seat covers. floor mats. and rear tire cover (not shown).

Can help deliver anywhere. I can arrange anywhere for $1/mi. or USHIP or commercial carrier can be arrange. I will transport to local port (up to 60 miles) if that helps reduce the shipping cost.

The most amazing part is the lack of rust. Being a Calif car its whole life really shows in the clean body panels and undercarriage. It also looks like it has had very little if any off-road time. The 4WD high/low lights on the dash work. and the transfer case seems to shift fine.
