For your consideration is this 1950 Original. "Black Plate" California Packard Clipper. Club Sedan or (Coupe). Showing (64095 1) ORIGINAL miles and NOT turned over once. This car is located in NORTH HOLLYWOOD. California NOT in Detroit where I live. This car is not in perfect condition but is a very good daily driver. Chrome is in decent condition. Exterior paint is in nice shape. with some minor wear. Paint could be redone. but is in good enough condition to use as a daily driver. You are bidding on a very unique Packard. This Marque was considered VERY expensive. for the time. the likelihood of this car being owned by a prominent film and/or television executive/actor figure during that period. is very high. This car is not currently painted it's original color. As per the VN# and production codes on the body show that this car began it's life as a red car. Packard did not use VIN numbers. but VN numbers on these cars. This car is very rare because of the "Egyptian" hood ornament. and the "Ultramatic" transmission Packard's version of an automatic. There is no doubt that this car was ordered by someone who definitely knew what they wanted. and were specific with the options. Prior to my business partner and I acquiring this car. it had been owned by a gentleman in Norwalk. California and before that. since new. by a woman in the Los Angeles area and kept in storage. There is no information when the car was repainted or why. as well as. when the interior was altered. So much information tends to be lost with these 22nd and 23rd series Packards that it's nearly impossible to provide. ALL photos were made in the last 10 days. so you are viewing the actual item. Here's an idea of how rare this car is. in 1950 only a handful of Club Sedans were produced with only a very small percentage having the EGYPTIAN hood ornament with an Ultramatic transmission. It really is astounding that this care ever survived. The electrical has been upgraded from 6 volt to 12 volt. The car comes with original AM radio. and clean and refitted interior. original heater and White wall tires. This awesome 1950 Packard. Club Sedan has been very well taken care of and was in storage for over 5 years before it was bought by it's last owner. This piece of history is completely rust free and rock solid and sits on its original wheels and caps with wide white walls. This marque is finished in brown paint (which is an older paint job. and. by no means. is it a concours-level finish. but it is adequate). All of the chrome and trim on this car is in very good condition except for the ULTRAMATIC badging that normally would have adorned the trunk lid (we have it. but it is broken in half) The windshield wipers are not attached at this time and we. so new ones will need to be acquired and installed. This car was always kept inside and treated as a valued survivor though. it was driven daily by the original owner. This Club Sedan or (Coupe') has a nice original "style" interior that was redone and looks very nice. The original wood grain is in very good condition. as well. and inside of the trunk is VERY clean and a custom carpet set embellishes this compartment and protects the perfect original metal underneath. An original non-white walled spare tire is included with the car. as well. Mechanically. the engine and ULTRAMATIC transmission seem to run very smooth and this Packard has been driven with no issues at all for an original 288ci straight 8. The engine compartment is all stock and pretty clean given that it is a matching numbers car. I can help with shipping quotes here in the U. S. A and abroad. WE DO NOT TAKE PAYPAL for this car ALL funds must be wired to a personal bank account or internationally using a SWIFT code. so please be prepared to provide a photo copy of your license/passport when doing so. This PACKARD is being sold as is and where is with no warranty expressed or implied. ALL negotiations for shipping MUST be complete before transfer of vehicle.   The sale of said Packard appearing in this advert/auction will be a final sale and no refunds or exchanges will/an be entertained after the sale of which.

Disclaimer & Qualifier: I was asked if this car could be driven to anywhere in the country and/or across the desert to Las Vegas. While the car does start and run. I have not had a full engine evaluation that would tell me that the car is or is not ready for a major road trip. As with any car of this vintage (64 years old and original engine) I would suggest that anyone coming from a distance of more than 5 or so miles and intending to drive back after having flown in. to not do so. Please use caution and consult a mechanic before the end of the auction and/or be prepared to trailer the car if necessary just as a precaution as the engine has not been rebuilt or overhauled in any way. so I cannot say if one would or would not be successful in a cross-country or interstate trip. Also. the windshield wipers are not attached to the arms. Otherwise the car is in great shape and as shown in the video and photos. A new battery will accompany the car when sold. Cheers! The Martini Set
