Offered for your pleasure is a truly fine example of Jaguar history. This is a 1965 S-type Jaguar saloon. The Mark 2's from 1960 to 1968 offered sporty performance and in 1963. Jaguar started to build a more luxurious and upscale version of that car which became the S-type. This was the inspiration for the S-type Jaguar that they made in the 2000's. There are less than 10. 00 of this model made between 1963 to 1967. This car is near perfect inside and out. While not a number 1 rating. I would say this is a good number 2 and would not take much to bring it up to show winning status. It has been re-stored to next-to-new condition with a gorgious period Champange exterior paint matched to palimino hides on the inside. The walnut interior trim is flawless as is all the chrome on the exterior. Has the classic horse-collar front bumper. Power comes from the legendary straight 6. dual over head cam 3. 4 liter engine matched to an automatic transmission. Jaguar used this engine from 1952 until 1972 in all its sports cars and other saloons and is considered one of the finest engines ever made. I believe that there is only 79. 00 original miles. This is assumed from the condition of the car. information from the prior owner and what is shown on the odometer. I have only driven this car to shows in the Detroit area in the summer putting on less than 1000 miles in 3 years. Has stunning chrome wire wheels with faux knock offs. 75% tread on white wall tires and 4 wheel disc brakes. The car comes with the original radio (not connected) but also has an up-graded Pioneer radio/CD player in the glove box. The ride is smooth as silk as would be expected from a luxury car of this caliber.  Can be viewed in the Ft. Lauderdale area.   Starting price is more than  $10. 00 below the book value for this car based on a #2 condition estimate.  A deposit of $2000. 00 to be paid within 48 hours of auction close- remainder to be paid within 7 days of auction close.  Please call Bob at 810-423-4543 for additional information or e-mail me at      Dickaloo@yahoo. com.
