350/300HP Engine (Not Original. But Period Correct)

10 Bolt Posi Rear End (Unsure of ratio. but guess low 3's)

Early Build 69. Pre X Code

This is a real deal 1969 Camaro SS Convertible. The original 350 went BOOM sometime in the mid 1970's and it was replaced with a 350 of similar vintage. It was rebuilt about 30. 00 miles ago and runs out great. freshly regasketed. fresh cam and hardened valve seats for unleaded fuel. and tuned with a chassis dyno. The TH-350 was rebuilt at about the same time with blue clutches. ect and shifts great. The 10 bolt posi. although I am unsure of the ratio. the car runs out at 75mph at a easy  2500 RPM's.

The front suspension was completely rebuilt with new ball joints. springs. shocks. inner and outer tie rods. pitman arm and idler arm. The rear leaf springs and shocks were replaced at the same time. The front brakes are disk. and the rotors are new and the calipers were rebuilt.

The floors. trunk. ect. are all original to the car and are super solid. Pinchweld at bottom of rockers is well defined with no swelling between the inner and outer rockers. and the spot welds re very well defined. Quarter panels look great with well defined spot welds at the bottom of the 1/4 panels indicating to me. no body filler. The doors are very solid with excellent. crisp lines at the door shell to skin attachment points.

Overall. a super solid car with a high quality. albeit older repaint in Garnet Red. Panel alignment and gaps are spot on. The interior also in great shape showing virtually no wear. The only defect I can point out is a superficial crack in the plastic rim of the steering wheel. The kick panels are cut for aftermarket speakers. but if you don't like the look. a new set is $80. The car has a ungraded stereo that sounds great with the top down at 75mph.

The convertible top is in beautiful shape with a crystal clear rear window.  top goes up and down with a flick of the switch. Parade boot shows well.

EVERY GAUGE. LIGHT. SIGNAL. ECT. works. I like my cars to be right. and this car is no exception.

This is a great example of a very honest car. You may be able to find one cheaper. but it's most likely a "Pig in Lipstick". You won't find a better example for the money. You can hop in this car and drive it across country without hesitation or apprehension. I have taken this car on several road trips. it has never given me an issue.

I purchased this car from a elderly school teacher that owned the car for many years. It was his fair weather car to drive to school and back many years ago.

It is just out of private collection and available for the first time.

This car is not a expense. it is a investment.

There may be a time when you need to sell this car. and these are one of those cars that is very difficult to pick apart. This is the quintessential example of a high quality REAL 1969 SS Camaro Convertible.

Don't waste your money on a clone or a hacked up junk. Save your money.
