Here is your chance to own a legendary muscle car that has been thoroughly restored to a high level. I will represent this car as honestly as possible. most people say I undersell and over deliver on cars I represent. but that is how it should be.  We recently sold a 69 black Camaro on ebay and the customer said that it was nicer than described and better than we stated.  As with any large purchase  we highly recommend an inspection or come out in person to see it. you won't be disappointed.  I will deal with overseas or out of State but all money will be wire transfer or cash. no games or stories. we've seen and heard them all.  I make myself available by email or phone to discuss the car in depth.  I do not own this car. I have been hired by the car owner to represent the car and to sell it for him.
The Body:This vehicle has recently received a $25. 00 show quality paint job that is an award winner and show stopper.  Grubbs Motorsports bodyworked and sprayed the top notch PPG Deep Metallic Maroon base coat. clear coat finish that is on the car. The hockey stripe is not a factory spec unit. it is a hand laid solid white stripe that is buried under the clear. you can't feel it.  It has over 300 hours of precision bodywork. blocking. priming. painting and a slick sanded final finish that is smooth from top to bottom.  The PPG 2021clear is deep. we put 4 coats of clear on it and wetsanded and buffed it thoroughly. many people think it is a candy finish because of how it looks in the sun. The gaps on this car are exceptional. that is part of our process that other shops skip. we fit the body panels and gaps before we bodywork and prime the car. this insures that the cars fit and finish far exceeds the factory gaps these cars came with. The hood fits perfectly and is a new factory type 2" cowl induction style. While the body was in the bodywork stage the customer had us shave the emblem holes. the rocker moldings. wheel well moldings. and the quarter panel louvers to give it a slick show look. You can see our quality of work at grubbsmotorsports dot com so that you know we only represent quality as it should be represented. The underside of the car is driver quality in a satin finish. it is not show quality underneath so don't expect to put mirrors under there. it is nice in a factory type satin finish.  It looks to have had floor pans installed and they were installed and seam sealed correctly.  The glass is all new in the car and is smoked on the sides and rear. glass fits well. molding fit well and shine nicely. minor waves in windshield moldings. but not bad.  The car received all new weatherstrip when we painted it. new fuzzies. rubbers. etc.  Doors are tight and close very well. trunk and hood also shut solid and are aligned correctly.  The trunk floor is satin black textured with a factory type mat installed.  The engine compartment is also satin black as it should be. firewall is clean. this is a non AC factory car and retains the factory heater. The heater currently does not work due to a leaking heater core.  If I were purchasing the car I would install Vintage Air so that you have modern heating and cooling.  We offer that service here if you are interested in a quote.
Drivetrain:The power plant is a very healthy stroked small block 383 that turns heads when you start it up.   I did not build the engine so I am relying on the car owners input. what I do know is that we tuned it and it runs strong.  The engine has a Barry Grant Demon carb 750 CFM that works good. it is a little cold natured and does not have a choke on it.  So on cold days you have to stay with it for a few minutes until the engine gets to operating temp.  It has a new Edelbrock Performer RPM Air Gap intake that has the Endurashine coating on it.  The engine has a nice muscle car cam that I'm estimating in the 280 duration range with . 500 lift range. don't have the exact specs but it sounds as it should and is correct for the engine.  The power maker on the engine are the AFR aluminum heads.   It revs nicely through the brand new FlowMaster Ceramic coated stainless steel headers and Flowmaster mufflers. the exhaust is 2. 5" diameter mandrel bent and is nicely built aluminized tubing.  The transmission is the correct Muncie close ratio with a Hurst shifter. it shifts flawlessly. clutch effort is minimal and it all works great.  The rearend is a positrac with what I'm estimating to be 3. 73 gears. could be 3. 55 but I didn't build the rearend. it is quiet and works correctly.  The rear brakes are stock type drum rear and the front are new disc stock type brakes.  Brakes work great and are power assisted vacuum factory type.  The gas tank is a new stainless steel unit with new sending unit. straps. etc.  The steering is a factory type power unit with new hoses. recent alignment. steering is tight and functions correctly.  The car has the stock type control arms and has been lowered with Hotchkis 2" front lowering springs and 3" rear lowering leaf springs.  Wheels and tires have less than 100 miles on them. they are Ridler brand and are 20x9 in rear and 18x8. 5 in front. The car retains a nice tight ride. tires do not rub and it handles nicely with no rattles or problems.
Interior:The interior has recently been completely restored and looks excellent. New carpet. seats recently recovered. new dash pad. gauge cluster restored. console is new. new gauges in console all work correctly.  Modern stereo that looks original and sounds good. headliner great. package tray and all trim in good shape.  The interior is very nicely restored and has not been modified. it looks like it did when it was new.
I'm sure I'm forgetting something. I will add updates throughout the week as well as a photobucket link with videos of the car inside and out as well as videos of it running and driving.  We have the car for sale locally. so feel free to make an offer.  The customer has way more in the car than our asking price. but is ready for a different project Michael 972-496-3278 This is the shop number so you can call from 9-6 weekdays.
