This car was originally restored 20 years ago by Practical Classics magazine and is featured in their book 'How to Restore the Triumph Spitfire'.
Purchased by me and fully restored over the last three years. this is now a stunning car ready for the open road and sunny skies. Re-featured in the same magazine last year once the restoration was complete.

The car has undergone a full 'body off' restoration and benefits from new brakes. front and rear. new springs and shock absorbers all round. The engine was professionally rebuilt with new bearings. cam followers. oil pump and benefits from an unleaded head. Fitted with electronic ignition. he car has a stainless steel sports exhaust system. New starter motor. New twin SU carburettors. Radiator recored

New wiring loom and new lights where necessary.

The body has new sills. rear valance and new lower rear wing panels. The bonnet is a one piece fibreglass unit (fitted with gas struts)as good secondhand steel ones are impossible to find (and new ones. too expensive). Fully undersealed and waxoyled. resprayed in hardwearing two pack paint. All new interior apart from dashboard and seats with new upholstery. Wooden steering wheel.

New Minilite replica wheels with new tyres.

Re-chromed bumpers. front and rear.

The hood is in good condition and comes with both the hood cover and a full tonneau.

The car passed its MOT yesterday (18 June) so should be good for this summer - if it ever arrives.

Ok. so if its so good why am I selling? Easy. I want to buy a new car but haven't decided yet if its to be a project or a runner and need the cash to get a better deal.

Is there anything wrong with the car? After everything I've done during the restoration. I'd be surprised to find anything as virtually everything on the car has been either replaced or rebuilt. Its not concours condition but you'd have to go a very long way to find one in better condition.
