Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.15) based on 473 votes
This is a completely factory stock '29 Oakland Coupe with a freshly rebuilt flathead 6 engine and 3 speed manual transmission. It is fast. Mechanically. the only thing that has been changed from original factory specs is the rebuilt original Zenith updraft carburetor. This car starts on a dime and runs unattended. It has a new radiator core and new exhaust system. Unlike most cars from this era. this car is rust free. The wooden coachwork throughout the entire car has been completely rebuilt and replaced. The work was performed by a professional coach builder in Pennsylvania. The wooden spokes are in restored beautiful condition. The car comes with a brand new. complete wiring harness and simple instructions. Although not pictured. yes. I have the hood sides. I also have a newly rebuilt throughout bearing for the transmission already mounted in the extra transmission cover. Also included are the bumper ends. gas tank cover. throttle control switch. headlight switch. and spare tire carrier for the rear.

This car is a blast to drive. The '29 Oakland engine was the best engine Oakland ever built. Oakland was a GM product and predecessor to the Pontiac. Speed-wise. Ford and Chevy don't compare.

Comments and questions to the seller:

the so called restorer should have his license revoked to butcher such work of oakland art there are two many mistakes made on this car i have worked on the oakland and pontiacs for over 45 years and would never repeat never had released back to owner looking like this that is what body pads are for that is why your doors don't have proper seams they were not rearched to fit seams which is normal practice the radiator shell does not nor the hood seam up to cowl
