Here for sale is my little Austin A60 Cambridge 'Angie'
I bought 'Angie' to restore with my partner but due to lack of space she has to be sold :(. She starts first time every time and runs very very well. She has a small exhaust leak from the down pipe of the manifold. Apart from that there is no mechanical issues with how the engine runs. She has column shift manual transmission and we have a spare transmission for her which was supplied with Angie when I bought her. The original transmission that is fitted has no problems. all gears can be selected and the clutch is in good condition. The brakes work well I have a full set of brand new rubber brake hoses for her which will be supplied with the sale. I have driven the car around the block and she is nice to drive but needs a wheel alignment before she can properly drive able. I also have a set of brand new rear spring hangar bushes that will be sold with the car too.
The interior is in excellent condition. As you can see from the photos it is a beautiful red leather. There is a rip along the stitching of the front bench on the passenger side which could be stitched back together easily. The door cards are in very good condition as is the headliner. The front carpet has been removed to show the condition of the front floors I have the front carpet section too. All the switches and knobs work in the dash and she has all her original gauges ect. I also have a brand new set of seat belts that will be sold with the car too.
Her body is very straight and solid only needs a couple of rust repairs to her drivers side floor. passenger front guard. lower rear window section & behind the passenger side rear wheel arch. The previous owner had already done some rust repairs on her. I have most of the missing stainless trim & hood emblem. She needs a passenger side tail light too.
She would be a great little car for someone to finish off which would be easily achievable if you're handy. Parts are very cheap and still easily available through the UK. There are also suppliers here in Melbourne that stock parts for her as the BMC released the same car here in Australia named the Austin Freeway.
Even though she drives I would definitely suggest picking her up on a trailer. My partner can assist with Delivery if needed you will need to enquire before you bid if you need her delivered as there will be fees involved. You are also welcome to come and see her and listen to her run. Cash on collection is preferred. If paying by paypal or cheque all funds will have to be cleared before collection. Please notify me before bidding If there will be a delay between the auction end and collection of her.
Happy Bidding!.
