1973 JAGUAR XKE 2+2 - ENGINE. CHASSIS. PARTS & TITLE

 

THIS IS A CONSIGNMENT SALE. WE ARE REPRESENTING THIS CAR ON EBAY FOR THE CURRENT OWNER.

 

HERE'S THE STORY. THIS CAR WAS PURCHASED IN THE MID 1990'S IN CONNECTICUT BY THE CURRENT OWNER. THE CAR WAS SHIPPED TO THE OWNER'S FATHER IN VIRGINIA WHERE IT WAS COMPLETELY DISASSEMBLED FOR A FRAME-UP RESTORATION.   IN 1996. THE V12 ENGINE WAS SHIPPED TO A JAGUAR SPECIALIST IN OHIO WHERE IT WAS COMPLETLY TORN DOWN. BORED FROM 5. 3L TO 5. 7L AND THEN REBUILT (A FEW PICS OF THE BUILD SHEET IS IN THE PICTURES BELOW). EACH NUT. BOLT. AND PART OF THE CAR WAS TAKEN OFF AND THEN BOXED UP (SOME PARTS ARE LABELED).   MANY NEW PARTS WERE ORDERED TO COMPLETE THE RESTORATION AND ARE INCLUDED IN THIS SALE (SEE PICS BELOW).   THE BONNET AND ALL THE PARTS HAVE BEEN GARAGE KEPT SINCE DISASSEMBLY. BUT THE CHASSIS AND MAIN PART OF THE BODY HAVE BEEN KEPT OUTSIDE UNDER A TARP FOR THE LAST 19 YEARS.

 

 WE CAN ONLY ASSUME THAT ALL THE PARTS TO RECONSTRUCT THIS VEHICLE ARE IN THE BOXES AND PARTS YOU SEE IN THE PICTURES BELOW.

THE BODY OF THE CHASSIS DOES HAVE SOME RUST. BUT NOTHING MAJOR.   THE UNDERCARRAGE IS VERY RUSTED.   THE FRAME IS FAIRLY SOLID IN THE REAR. BUT THE FLOORPANS AND FORWARD FRAME ARE COMPLETELY RUSTED THROUGH.   THIS AUCTION INCLUDES NEW FRAME RAILS. WHICH YOU CAN SEE IN THE PICTURES BELOW.   YOU WILL HAVE TO SOURCE NEW FLOORPANS YOURSELF.

THE CHASSIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS. THERE IS MAJOR RUST THROUGHOUT THE UNDERCARRAGE AND SOME MINOR RUST ON THE BODY AND FRONT BONNET.

 

THIS IS A RESTORATION PROJECT.   WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PICTURES IS WHAT YOU GET.   IF YOU DON'T SEE SOMETHING IN THE PICTURES THEN IT IS NOT INLCUDED IN THIS AUCTION.   THE WINNING BIDDER WILL NEED TO SOURCE ANY MISSING OR DAMAGED PARTS ON THEIR OWN.
