Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2) based on 337 votes

Offered for sale is our stunning. incredibly strong running. numbers matching. rust free. California owned XK150 Fixed Head Coupe (FHC) finished in timeless and factory correct Old English White over its correct and beautifully presented Red leather interior. a wonderful livery that accentuates the FHC's incredibly gorgeous lines. This original example has been wonderfully maintained and preserved over the years under the care of its previous Jaguar enthusiast owner. The exterior is in excellent condition. marred only by the most minor of imperfections to the paint. none of which were significant enough to appear in any of the pictures. The body is straight and free of dings or dents and all of the chrome and glass is in exceptional original condition. The car rides on its original knock off wire wheels. wrapped in tires with plenty of remaining tread and the car comes complete with a full spare wire wheel and changing tools. This is a special car that is becoming an exceedingly popular example.

The interior is absolutely gorgeous. The red leather seats are excellent. showing only the lightest of patina. and the carpets. interior panels and headliner are all in exceptional condition. Everything works. including the gauges. a period-correct radio and all of the lights and heat. The car's undercarriage is completely solid. straight and sound with a recently replaced stainless steel exhaust system. We have owned many XK150 coupes over the years and there's something about this example that just feels right compared to cars of the past. It's a wonderful example that should make any Jaguar enthusiast proud.

XK150's in general are superb driver's cars. arguably the first Jaguar sports car that has some semblance of a comfortable ride quality and modern reliability while retaining much of the visceral feel of the earlier cars. This is the case with this example. its tried and true numbers matching 3. 4L engine starting effortlessly. idling consistently and pulling stongly and smoothly through each of its gears. Of the dozens of XKs we've owned. I'm not sure that we've had a tighter and more powerful example – it truly wants to get up and go and won't disappoint. whether tearing through the canyons. cruising through town or bombing down the highway.

With fully restored or entirely original cars fetching outlandish results on the auction circuit. finding honest and correct examples like this at reasonable prices is becoming harder and harder. If you've been looking for the perfect driver that can be toured. taken to local events or just enjoyed privately on weekend jaunts. this car checks all of the important boxes: numbers matching. mechanically strong. cosmetically correct and gorgeous and with a solid and unadulterated undercarriage. Please bid accordingly.

We've always had an appreciation for classic European cars and over the years have created an eclectic personal collection. We only buy cars that we'd personally be interested in owning and generally only sell things to make room for other acquisitions. Sadly. that time has come for this XK150 FHC (if the price is right. of course - this isn't a fire-sale). We try to give accurate descriptions of the cars we're selling. but we're not experts and we encourage and are happy to help facilitate personal or professional inspections. But please do so before bidding. as the alternative harms our ability to make sales to other interested parties who have done their proper due diligence before bidding.

For U. S. buyers a 10% non-refundable deposit is required within 3 days of the auction's end. the balance to be paid within 7 days of the auction's end. Foreign buyers must pay in full within 7 business days of the auction's end. Buyer is responsible for shipping. however we'd be more that happy to help with recommendations and arrangements. The car is listed locally and we reserve the right to end the auction at any time should it sell prior to auction's end. Thanks for your interest.
