This a 43 Year old 1971 Jaguar 5. 3 V12 E-type Automatic.  It had been in storage and unused in the West Coast of USA for 12 to 13 years. It arrived back in the UK in March this year. The engine was seized through standing for so long. we soaked the engine with easing oil down the plug holes for a couple of days and it came free and with new plugs and petrol it fired up and sound good. It has only been driven about a mile and it seemed fine it was a bit smoky probably due to the oil we put down the plug holes. The auto box seemed fine the brakes steering all seemed ok.

Walking round the car the chrome work is very good. It has five excellent wire wheels and tyre's. all the glass is very good also.

There is no rust in the body work. The paintwork is 6 out of 10 it has some cracks and chips here and there.  

Inside the car isn't that bad the two front leather seat bottoms are age cracked but one came with the car so it just needs one.

In all this car is a excellent base to take to a higher level and could be worth £40k to £50k when finished or with some modest re-commissioning use as is.

2/ Insure the car

3/ Complete V55/5c. mot certificate. voses certificate. nbsp;USA Title. cheque for £55 (road tax is free) and send to DVLA and you will recieve a UK registration number ( J reg ) and a V5c
