I'm selling my 1986 Land Rover Defender 90. It's my daily driver and the second defender I've owned. I made the unfortunate mistake last time of buying an underpowered defender with no power steering. This Defender has none of those issues. It has an upgraded early 90's 200 TDI Diesel Engine with great air intake to the turbo and exhaust pressure. I easily cruise at 70MPH+ (verified by GPS) on the highway and it doesn't feel like it's going to fall apart. The 200TDI gives you improved power while maintaining great fuel efficiency (Google 200TDI). If you know Defender than you should know to steer clear of Petrol V8 defenders because of terrible fuel mileage without a worthwhile increase in power. and any NA's due to power issues. I've fitted 5 brand new defender alloy wheels and 5 new oversized tires that have an aggressive look but were made to be quiet on the road (both have under 2000 miles on the road). I've upgraded the entire power steering system to handle the larger tires and it makes for smooth operation as well as an aggressive turn radius. I wanted my defender to look like the newer SVX Defenders in the UK so I changed out all the lights with new ones (LED side markers). added the modern wheels. upgraded the Bonnet to the Puma Bonnet. Repainted it with the new Defender white. and put on the new grille and matte black diamond plate wing top protectors. It has a new carpet set in the front and has a defender rubber cargo liner in the rear with two bench seats. It comes with the center cubby as well as a center seat. It has a fresh oil change with oil and fuel filter. The only mechanical issue I've had was a leak in the water pump that I replaced for $90 (www. rovahfarm. com) and an hour in the garage. The general condition is good with only minor rust as could be expected around the door bottoms and a little in the bulkhead.   I drive this car every day and it drives great and turns heads.
