1922 Renault town car. It has been in my barn for years and I need to make room for other projects. Not 100% sure that it is a 1922 but that is what I was told when I purchased the car from a guy in the Catskill Mountains. He bought the car out of NYC and was told that the car was used for child actors for promotional purposes in the 20's for the movies. He had no proof of the story. and I have never looked. The car is small and I do not fit in the back very well. When I purchased the car. I pulled the motor and put new in new gaskets and got it running and the motor looked like it was brand new on the inside. so the 4. 44 miles on the odometer might be correct. The front end and all of the bushings are still tight. The car is very complete. the only things I know that it needs are the emblem for the front. outside door handles. nbsp;taillights. headlights. and bumpers (but the brackets are there). The car didn't come with headlights. but I found a nice set that are the right side off an American Austin. There was no front windshield but I found the side brackets for a Model T which look like they would fit nicely.   I also found a small set of french sidelights that are a nice size- they say Phares Auteroche.  Dimensions of the car itself are 11'9'' long. 4'7'' wide. 5'10'' tall. The car doesn't have a drivers door. only a passenger door on the front. Body sheet metal is all nice with no rot. only one small pinhole under the drivers side. The car was probably repainted in the 60's/70's and it does look like they used some bondo to smooth out the fenders. The car needs new wood for the roof and other spots on the back of the body. including one door. but all of the wood is there for a pattern or wood hardener. I haven't had the car running in quite a few years. but the motor still turns over freely. The car would be an easy restoration project but I have too many other projects. Email with questions or for more pictures. The car has no title. only a bill of sale. Car is located in central CT.
