    Very RARE Canadian built 1949 Mercury Meteor. has been a custom previous show car for over 25 years.    Started with a rust free low mileage Coupe body. Summer driven for past 4 seasons.    Maintained every season on regular basis. fresh Tune Up and oil change in last 2 weeks.    Fly in and drive it home. very reliable Custom.       Top chopped 2 1/2 inches. "B" pillars slanted. rain gutter removed.    Rear fender seams removed and smoothed.    Frenched head lights and tail lights. with custom frenched parking lights.    Hood. rounded corners with 90 louvers.    Door handles removed. remote entry.    Door vent windows removed. replaced with full power windows.    Hidden power rear mounted antennae.    Moulded side pipe covers.    Relocated hidden gas filler door on drivers side 1/4 panel.    Full length custom mounted fiber glass bubble skirts.    Beautiful restored 1955 Pontiac stainless steel body side mouldings.    Polished stainless steel 1950 Mercury grill   Chrome 1949 Meteor grill surround.    Original re chromed front and rear bumpers.
   Frame is original and rust free painted semi gloss black.    1969 Chevrolet NOVA front clip with power disc brakes and power steering.    New Henrys Industries 9 inch Ford rear end housing with 3:00 gear ratio.    Custom installed double leaf springs mounted inboard to lower suspension without bags. has air shocks.    Custom cross members for transmission and drive shaft.    New 1969 Cougar gas tank with frame mounted electric fuel pump.    External frame mounted battery terminals.
   Interior retains the original mint painted dash. gauges and rare radio delete plate and hand painted pin stripes.   Window garnish mouldings are chopped and painted.    Custom upholstered French seam over steel center consul housing Stewart Warner white faced winged gauges & Lokar floor shifter.    It also houses the 6 way  power  seat switches as well as the power window switches and round speakers.    Custom red and white rolled and pleated 1966 Chrysler bucket seats with seat belts. rear seat matches with hand formed rear tray.    Door panels also match the seat pattern with custom arm rests.    Custom fitted contoured cut pile black carpet. original sill plates.    Custom fitted white vinyl head liner.    Custom installed 1968 Chevrolet tilt steering column . with NOS Red metal flake steering wheel.    Kenwood A. M. F. M. single C. D. stereo.    All  glass windows are custom cut with polished edges and tint on the inside.     The trunk area is fully carpeted panels with a raised floor and hidden storage area to rear of the seat.
   Engine is a older rebuilt 1970 Chevrolet Corvette 454 Cu. In. with 396 heads. Edlebrock intake and 750 CFM carb.    H. E. I. distributor with Taylor wires. . Heat coated full length headers. polished valve covers. chrome pulleys and brackets   chrome alternator. chrome mechanical fan. Rebuilt 3-core radiator. runs 165 all day long.
   Transmission is a pro-built Chevrolet 700-R-4. 4 speed automatic. with Lokar shifter. Frame mounted cooler.
   Front inner fenders and fire wall are original and rust free and retain original cold air intakes.
   Wheels and tires are steelies with Diamond Back wide white wall radials Custom 57 Caddy wheel discs.
    Full 2 1/2 " stainless steel dual exhaust system with glass pack mufflers.
   The paint which is now 25 years old is professionally applied 2 stage base clear coat TORCH RED colour. it was  cut and    polished about 3 years ago to its current show car shine. after all these years there is no rust bubbles or perforation. Very   tastefully applied hand pin striping on the hood and deck lid.  
  I have recently removed the Appleton style Dummy spot lights and they will come with the car.
  This car is an easy export to the USA or EUROPE. Transportation is the responsibilty of the purchaser. I will assist as much as  possible.
