The Ultimate MGB. The 1974 model was the last year of the chrome bumper cars & were the pinnacle of production in many enthusiasts opinion.   Still with the classic chrome bumpers and traditional grill. but with such upgrades as comfortable seats. face level ventilation. Full syncro gearbox and a host of other improvements that made it much easier to live with.   

This Example takes it several steps further and is equipped with some rare options and upgrades like the rare Overdrive Transmission. alloy wheels. leather interior and finished in classic British Racing Green.  

It was sold new in California and still retains its original Bill of sale. confirming the original Overdrive as an option.   It also has its original books. records. jack & tools along with their fitted bags.   It has an original 34. 00 miles and was restored several years ago by the 2nd owner after it had been stored for years.

It was restored several years ago to a great standard and it shows. The engine and trans were gone through and rebuilt to standard specs.   Has great oil pressure. does not smoke and Runs and Drives Great! It also had a full brake rebuild along with the rest of the driveline rebuild. This car was originally equipped with steel wheels (which will still go right back on if you like) but has been fitted with the upgraded alloy Panasport or Minilite type wheels and new performance tires.

Cosmetically. the paint is still in great shape. It has a good shine and no problems such as dents. rust bubbles etc.    The interior was redone as well with new carpet. leather seats. panels and new convertible top. Amazingly enough it has its original crack free dash!  Very few cars out there are like this and it shows that this car was garaged and pampered. It has custom high quality mg plush floor mats featuring an embossed MG logo. A new Tourist Trophy wood steering wheel and matching shift knob rounds it out. It also comes with a  tonneau cover. parade boot and a Factory fiberglass hardtop.   The trunk has also been restored with a new fitted trunk carpet kit including a tire cover with embroidered MG logo.  

This is a rare opportunity. If you want a great MGB at a very reasonable price. this is the one.   I looked all over to find such a car. and very few exist.   The cost of the restoration alone would cost more than the price of the car.   That does not include finding such a nice rust free chrome bumper MGB.
