Sale price: $15,000.00 make an offer
Seller's notes: "The car is a driver but will need body work, paint, and minor items to be show quality. It will need a skim coat of fiberglass between the fenders and body as well as the front flares. There are also additional post holes drilled for the convertible top. These will need to be filled in to make the car perfect as well. These issues do not effect the mechanical operation of the car and it is currently being driven and shown as-is"

Current customer rating: (515 votes ) based onThe car is driven as-is but will need body work and paint to be show quality.
Starting with the basics the car has manual steering and manual brakes. The Auto Meter gauge package consists of the following: Tachometer. Speedometer. Oil Pressure. Temperature. Ammeter (Not wired). & Fuel Gauge (The fuel gauge it has is wrong and needs to be replaced with Auto Meter 2514). The carpet is new. and the seats show minor wear on them. I currently have a Grant GT steering wheel installed. but the car will come with the Cobra 3 spoke chrome and wooden steering wheel that was in there when I purchased it. The car needs a gas pedal installed which I may do myself when I have some time. The mileage listed (3200) is representative of the mileage on the gauge and not the actual mileage of the car. The title does not show any mileage.
The entire drivetrain of this Cobra was removed from a 1960 Chevy Corvette.
The 283 engine was rebuilt at some point in the past and runs like a beast. It does not leak. smoke. or knock. The previous owner installed a Comp Cams 268H cam in the recent past as well. The engine has recently been freshened with new plugs. wires. cap & rotor as well as an oil change. You will note in the pictures that the car retains the front and rear Corvette motor mounts.
A 4 speed Muncie M21 transmission transfers the power from the engine. and the car retains the original Corvette shifter with reverse lockout. The rear is a narrowed early GM 3rd Member rear. The tires are in great condition. and the rear ride height is adjustable with the leaf spring shackles.
The Cobra does have an attached convertible top that stores behind the seats. There is a minor hole in the back of the top. as well as a tear near where the top attaches to the body (see pictures).
The dashboard is custom made like the rest of the car. and will be redone if the car does not sell soon. The glove box door was cut into the dash but leads to absolutely nothing.
Try as you may you will never find another car like this anywhere. This Cobra attracts more attention than any other Classic or Hot Rod that I've ever owned. and I'd love to keep it but there's nowhere for my baby's car seat. Now's your chance to own a one-of-a-kind Cobra kit that you can finish to your liking for a fraction of the cost of any of the others that you'll find.
I have posted a quick walkaround video on YouTube titled "Cobra Walkaround 1" and another short driving video under the YouTube channel The Hunz.
