Professionally Restored 1974 MG MGB Mark III - Chrome Bumper

Sale price: $19,500.00 make an offer

Seller's notes: "The paintwork on the car is from 1998 and overall is in good condition. Minor chips to the paint exist on many of the surfaces where chips commonly occur (door edges, front of car, trunk edges). All of these have been carefully touched up with professionally matched paint. Two minor dents are visible on the car: One along the leading edge of the hood which is dime-sized and another which is above the rear passenger wheel well and is quarter-sized. Minor scratches and other paint imperfections can be found on the car, but they are very small and require serious effort to identify. Lastly, the top edge of the aluminum windscreen frame has a few areas where minor abrasions have occurred in the distant past. These have been sanded and polished to a reasonable standard but are clearly visible upon close inspection."

1974 MGB Roadster - Rosie
I purchased this wonderful car from an Oregon farmer in early 2014 as a capstone to a writing project I've been working on since 2012. The farmer's reason for selling was simply because he rarely drove it (over the span of fifteen years) and he wanted more space in his barn! Now that my project has drawn to a close. it's time for Rosie to have a new owner.
Every point of restoration and enhancement that I made on this vehicle was done in order to meet the vision I had of a classic British convertible sports car that would perform (in every sense) as well or better than it did the day it rolled off the factory assembly line in Abingdon. England back in July of 1974. Photographs can tell most of the story but only a test drive reveals the full monty of Rosie. Everything works on this car and I mean everything. I have the Oregon title in hand and it specifies prior damage when it was titled in California (prior to 1998) when it was involved in a minor fender bender. The only evidence of this is a non-descript 3/8" long seam in the body work just above the front driver's side wheel but below the new chrome body trim.
In the past two months. I have taken this car out on day-long road trips where I drove at (60-70 mph) for 100-200 miles without any issues. When cruising at these speeds. on a straight road. if you let go of the steering wheel. the car will run arrow-straight (with AC/DC. Led Zeppelin or any music. for that matter. filling your ears with crystal-like clarity). Most of the mechanical work that the car has undergone during my ownership was performed by the crew at Harold's Auto Service here in Portland. Oregon who can vouch for the condition of the car.
