1979 MGB V8 Convertible

Sale price: $7,500.00 make an offer

Seller's notes: "This car is a 1979 MGB that has been converted from a 4 cylinder to a V-8. The Motor used in the conversion is a Rover V-8 / 3.5 liter. This is the same motor that was used in the Triumph TR8 and all V-8 Land Rovers built until the early 2000s. In fact, MG built about 2500 MGB GT V-8s from 1973 through 1977. Please Note: The car is being sold as is, with no guarantee. This car was built in 1979, making it 35 years old. However, a lot of time and money has been spent restoring the car and converting it to a V-8. The restoration is between 90 and 95 % complete. The person who purchases this car should consider it a project car. The heater is not hooked up, Some lights don't work, There is a repaired chip in the windshield. I have a new windshield that is ready for instillation. I feel the radiator is undersized for city driving and should be upgraded. The reserve price on this car is half of what this car would traditionally sell for. If you are mechanically minded this is a deal."

No Rust. No Rust. Good restoration   I would rate it at a 8  with a 10 being perfect.

Re-painted about 6 years ago Dark Metal Flake Blue.

Body in great shape no dings or dents. It is a nice paint job. using a magnet I found no signs of any body filler anywhere.

I did not do the conversion so I know very little details about the car's history.

The Odometer may say 11600 but I believe that to be in error. The real number is unknown.

I have owned this car for over 5 years and have put less than a 1000 miles on it. It has never seen rain.

If I were to keep this car and decided to make it perfect I would 1. upgrade the radiator. 2. upgrade too both front and rear disc brakes. 3. change the ring and pinion gear to a higher ratio for better highway driving. 4.  connect the heater. 5. fix the lights. 6. connect the tach. and do a tuneup. Anything else would be cosmetic.

I am a motivated seller. This car has a reserve of less than $10. 00. 00

Final note.  This car is being sold as is with no guarantees.
