1950 Buick Super Convertible

Listed on behalf of Monte Shelton Motors by Charvet Classic Cars.

This car was sold new in 1950 by Braley and Graham Buick in Portland. Oregon and has remained in Portland ever since. Two owners since new. Most recent owner for over 40 years. This car has always been mantained and serviced as needed.

Body: Body is straight and rust-free. Panel fit is excellent. The car has never been apart. It received a driver-quality enamel re-paint in the original Buick "old Ivory" color some years ago. It still shows well and is presentable for a driver. The chrome and stainless trim are all original and also presents nicely. especially the spectacular grille with bumper guards and dual driving lights. Please see photos.

Interior: The interior wears most of its very good original red leather upholstery. with the exception of the front seat. which was re-upholstered some years ago. Carpets are original with some areas of wear. Optioned with radio and clock which are present but not working. Heater/defroster works. The interior chrome is excellent. Power windows and top operate perfectly. Original glass throughout. Brand new black top was just installed. See photos.

Mechanicals: Was maintained by the prior owner. a well-known Northwest car collector. for over 40 years. Serviced as needed with normal engine work done through the years. The original 263 cubic inch 124 horsepower Buick "Valve in Head" Straight Eight Engine runs smooth and strong with no smoke and plenty of power. SEE VIDEO. The Dynaflow automatic transmission shifts properly. Brakes stop the car smooth and straight. Newer. correct wiring harness.

This car is a real pleasure to drive. It is the perfect summer cruiser as it stands. or take it to show level. The choice is yours. Either way. you're certain to draw admiring glances wherever you go.
