Audi UR Quattro (1987)

A great example the legendary Audi UR-Quattro in Pearlescent White.

This Quattro has been just been recommissioned after a number of years in storage at a cost of over £5. 00. It has benefited from a full re-spray (engine. suspension and glass removed) and renewal of many major components – the result is a car in excellent condition.

Replacement parts during the recommissioning works included (but was not limited to) a full brake overhaul with a new master cylinder. brake lines. rear calipers. discs and pads. a new clutch. fuel lines. cam belt. water pump. subframe mounts. and steering bushes. The valve guides and head gasket were also replaced purely as a precautionary measure.

Last month the car was serviced and the fuel injection system fine tuned by Quattro Concepts who also reported that the car is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic order.

MOT to 12th April 2015. taxed until October 2014

HISTORY
This car was first registered in May 1987 and comes with a full service history file with hundreds of receipts dating back to 1989. Every MOT certificate is present warranting the mileage correct. It is understood that the car was in storage from approximately 2004 until around 2011 when the recommissioning works were started. however the car was not on the road until April this year.

EXTERIOR
Finished in the striking Pearlescent White paintwork. the exterior or this Quattro is in excellent condition and it is tricky to spot any marks on the bodywork. The full re-spray undertaken during recommissioning appears to have been done to a high standard with all stripes and stickers removed prior to work being carried out. The car shows no obvious signs of rust and the underside was treated during the re-spray. There is a small crack to the plastic cover located beneath nearside rear number plate light.

INTERIOR
This example comes with grey leather sports seats which are in a good condition throughout. Some interior parts including the door cards would benefit from some tlc. but generally the interior is in a decent condition. All electrics including the digital dashboard. interior lights. trip computer. mirrors. windows and aerial work as they should.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The famous inline 5 turbocharged engine provides plenty of performance along with the symbolic and addictive Quattro engine note. A tidy engine bay indicates it has been well looked after throughout it's life and despite only covering modest mileage since 1996 the mechanics have been meticulously maintained with regular oil changes. filters (fuel and oil). coolant renewal and belt changes; consequently all the mechanics are in fine order. The cambelt was inspected and found to be new by Quattro Concepts who also setup the fuel injection system. The valve guides and head gasket have been replaced within the last 1000 miles purely as a precautionary measure. Both diff locks are fully operational and the gearbox operates as new.

WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES
The Ronal alloy wheels are in excellent order having recently been refurbished. Tyres are the correct sized Dunlop SP 9000 type (currently £800 for a set on ebay) and have only covered approximately 300 miles. The brake system has had a complete overhaul during recommissioning with a new master cylinder. brake lines. rear calipers. discs and pads. Quattro Concepts believe the front calipers have been upgraded with a performance variant.

Quattro four wheel drive system. Electric windows. Electric mirrors. Multi function computer. Volt and Oil temperature gauge. Diff lock and display. Green digital driver display. Stereo. Stainless exhaust system. front brake upgrade. Central locking. Ronal Alloy wheels.
