FABULOUS AND VERY AUTHENTIC LOOKING1937 BUGATTI T-35 ROADSTERBOARD RACERREPLICA
I am very excited to entertain offers for my very exhilarating 1937 Bugatti T-35 Board Racer replica.  Firstly. not all Bugatti replicas were created equal.  I have seen perhaps a dozen Bugatti replicas in the past year on eBay that make absolutely no attempt to accurately model itself after these iconic and fabulous streamlined racers from the 1930's.  The muted blue paint on my car has faded and has imperfections in the paint and inexplicably looks much better in the pictures provided than in person. and in my opinion this beautiful automobile can use a respray.  The condition of the fiberglass body is structurally excellent. there are however several small holes drilled into the fiberglass (extremely thick like a Corvette) where a tail light may have been situated once. or a piece of trim. this is a very easy and common fix.  The odometer reads 6300 miles and the 2nd owner has assured me that the original owner says the miles are original but I honestly have no way of verifying this.  The vehicle is UNQUESTIONABLY very low miles but how low. I cannot be sure.

Let me preface this very enthusiastic eBay car listing by adding here that I am not your average Bugatti T-35 Replica owner/fan.  I bought three of these amazing automobiles because they are the most fun and attention getting cars that I have ever owned.  When I am tooling around the Florida Keys in one of my T-35' Bugatti's. I can't count the pictures that are taken of me in a two hour span.  If I am riding around by myself. (day or night) cute girls always ask if I can take them for a ride and I always oblige.  And at least a dozen times per month. beautiful women just hop right in the empty seat when I am waiting at a stoplight and believe it or not. most of these women are SOBER.  I think they feel safe because the car is completely open.
Some of the other accoutrements that complement the visual authenticity of my Bugatti 35 are the incredibly large. genuine 19" powder coated Model A wire wheels (completely restored) with the correct period Lucas Tyres as this was a well invested $1800 because it immediately brings a serious air or authenticity to this vehicle.  The tyres are brand new having been manufactured from old Lucas molds by the Lucas company and 99% of the Bugatti replicas that I have seen strangely enough do not pay attention to this detail. it simply makes the car!!  The rear wheels are even cambered  (lean inward) like the early Bugatti 35 T-Roadsters. an adjustment can alter the camber to be perfectly vertical if desired.    I would say that 90% of the people that look at this car think that it is a real Bugatti T-35 (and when they ask if it's real I say "Hell Yea").  And the 10% who know or suspect the car is a replica. are serious car enthusiasts like myself. as the front to rear nickel plated leaf suspension (among other things) of an authentic Bugatti T-35 is incomparably beautiful and impossible to replicate inexpensively.  So until I get my hands on a disposable $2. 3 million for an authentic Bugatti. this moderately priced. exhilarating wonder car is my vicarious release into the lifestyle of "The Rich and Famous".  Owning my Bugatti's has made me feel young again as will any coveted super car. regardless of price as feeling amazing when you drive doesn't have to cost a fortune.  Are replica cars good investments?  Ask Jay Leno. he has two Bugatti T-35 replicas and drives them often!!
I have been selling on eBay for many years and my feedback is still perfect because I really try to do my best to accurately represent what it is that I am selling. Vintage and collectible cars are especially difficult to trade on eBay (usually a sight unseen purchase) because condition is so very subjective.  This car has been sitting for the better part of 36 years and it has a very real and desirable "patina" which makes this particular car look very authentic so please if you are a potential buyer of this automobile. expect to get dirty and greasy as she is almost 50 years old!  It has not been restored aesthetically as I have decided to leave this option to the new buyer.  Here in Key West I got an estimate to have my Bugatti repainted and the quote was $6500. that quote I felt was ridiculously expensive.  So if you live in or near a major city this car can be painted for around $2000 or less I imagine.  Again. mechanically the car is ABSOLUTELY perfect (with the exception of the rear and signal lights and having to wrestle with the stick a bit to get it into reverse. my mechanic can do it every time but I have difficulty with the reverse gear).
I have driven the car from Key West. Florida on the Overseas Highway to Naples. Florida through Alligator Alley (250 miles each way) several times and I have never had a more exhilarating motoring experience in my life!  This beautiful and wonderful Replica Bugatti T-35 reminded me of what it was to enjoy driving again. this is no sales pitch. I mean every word I say. I can't wait for my wife to ask me to go to the store to pick up something. I even look for reasons to drive now and I get in and drive my Bugatti at least 3 times daily.
The Bugatti that I am selling is built on a 1967 Volkswagen chassis with a 1500 cc motor that is reliable enough to drive across the country (weather permitting).  Any repair that the car required was taken care of by a Volkswagen specialists here in Key West. Florida by Hans Motors. no expense spared. There was a leak in the left right brake cylinder which was replaced along with a brand new left front spindle as the car used to pull slightly to the left when braking. the car stops perfectly now with no pulling issues whatsoever.  There was also a slight wobble in the steering when approaching 35 mph so I had the steering mechanism replaced and the car steers and handles perfectly now.  Also installed are adjustable rear shocks.  The brake lights and rear signal lights are not functioning properly so I just hand signal when I am driving in Key West which is perfectly legal in most states in an open cowl roadster.  I am sure this is a minor fix and the headlights work perfectly.  I would guestimate that I have invested just over $2600 to get the car to the point to where I can enjoy it without worry.  I purchased the car about a year ago from a car enthusiast who lived in St. Augustine. Florida and before that the Bugatti Roadster was stored in an Arizona garage for 30+ years.  It is wonderfully solid and rust free and a superb investment.  The reason that I am selling my blue T-35 is because I found the Bugatti T-35 Roadster replica of my dreams. a front engined Ironsmith built in the 1970's and I want to give it my full attention financially and make it as authentic as possible.
The interior gauges are certainly not accurate Bugatti gauges but they are vintage (probably late 1960's) and in very good/excellent condition.
I forgot to mention that the fuel gauge does not register the correct amount of fuel (always reads full) so I just fill it up every few days (no big deal right?).  I also forgot to mention the very high quality. perfect fitting black tonneau button down cockpit cover (cost $345) that will keep the interior of the car completely dry even in a hurricane.  Just remembered something else that I should add. the front fenders are very "wobbly" when driving so this will need attention also.  Please contact me if you have questions.  I can assist in shipping the vehicle partially or fully as I have several contacts in auto transport.  LET'S MAKE A DEAL!!!!
