THE PORSCHE 718 RSK-SPYDER

Based on a tax exempt vw beetle chassis. this show car is almost brand new with 490 miles on the clock and stunning!

Running a 1641 air-cooled vw engine breathing through twin 40mm webber carburettors and a fully flowed 4 into 1 exhaust system based on the original 718 system. gives an amazing growl this is proven to be very fast capeable of speeds way over 100mph shocking road handling due to all the body weight being very low and fabricated lowered chassis.

The original car was a mid-engine. rear-drive racer first appeared in 1958. and is one of the racing Porsches from Zuffenhausen.
The name RSK 718/1500. means "RennSport". the "K" denoting the suspension. the "718" is the chassis type. and "1500" is the engine size in cc.
This car could reach 155 mph on the track.

From Le Mans to Sebring. the Porsche 718 dominated the racing world throughout the fifties and early sixties. This legendary car was driven by the heroes of the day; Sterling Moss. Jean Behra. Von Trips. Ken Miles. Dan Gurney. to name a few. These cars were winning races throughout their years. even when up against the larger 3-liter Ferraris! RSK/RS60 racers won the Targa Florio 1959-60. "

Any motor racing history book will tell you. that during the 1950's and 1960's. the little silver bullets known as the"Porsche Spyders" were notoriously successful.
Competing against the might of Aston Martin. Ferrari and Jaguar. their list of victories is legendary.

Only a limited number were ever built. and the rare road going examples became instant classics! With the real thing being virtually unobtainable to all but the extremely wealthy. the RSK-Spyder makes the next best choice at a fraction of the cost!

The all new mechanical components eliminate all the problems usually associated with classic car ownership. and make the RSK-Spyder both reliable. very fast sound like a real race car and one of the most entertaining cars you will drive. Car comes complete with tonneau cover and porsche all weather cover - Helmet & Goggles come free!

The original racing car had an air cooled 1500cc engine situated behind the driver. so the obvious choice of running gear is that of the Volkswagen Beetle (also originally designed by Dr. Porsche)
