Mk1 -1964 MGB ROADSTER - TARTAN RED
My apologies to those who previously bidded on the  car or who were watching with interest. There was a disagreement with my partner over the reserve priceand she has won. It had never met the reserve set prior to it's removal from sale anyway  so its not affected anything.

I have owned this car for just over 2 years. It has had very little use in that time and kept in garage. I bought it from the DURHAM area. the gent used to show it in that area.   It is the 1964 model with pull handles. narrow transmission tunnel and still with + earth. I have had a modern CD radio fitted but the radio and cigarette socket has a voltage converter so I can charge my iphone and run my Sat Nav. The car has overdrive which works as it should apart from the switch is reversed on the dashboard. probably a wiring fault?

I have also fitted a radiator fan and electronic ignition for easier starting. Also fitted a Stainless Steel Exhaust and peformance manifold for logevity and Seat Belts for Safety. The hood is prestine and fitted by previous owner.

The car is in good condition as the photo's depict but it is not concourse. The car is 50 years old and has the odd blemish here and there.

Like I did I when I purchased it. I expect the prospective buyer to come and view before buying. I don't think you will be disappointed. It flew through  this years MOT without anything other than a wash.

It has a Heritage Certificate and a document folder with a fair bit of History.

I'm quite happy to answer any question if I can. I can also send more photos if you wish. I'm going to put a web page up so you can see more and larger photos.

Now for the conditions. I will require cleared funds. I'm happy to drive you down the bank to pay your cash in via their note checker. I will not accept paypal because of their expensive charges. No cheques unless you send it a few days before collection to clear nor any method of payment that can chargeback. Good old cash down the bank is my preference.

You can inspect the car to your hearts content and as long as you have Insurance covering you for comprehensive use of any vehicle you can test drive it. I will take you for a spin if you haven't.

Why am I selling. I don't get the opportunity to use it as much as I wish

I have placed more pictures on my website so you can see Sills. Andre correctly spotted that on a couple of photos the mirrors were on the doors. I got rid of them and fitted Raydot classic ones on the wings. The majority of the photos were taken today 22/5/14 and show those mirrors on the wing which I think is more in fitting with a classic. Follow the link. But before you do see the note in red below.

The badges of St George and Royal Engineers in the pictures are not included in the sale and WILL be removed before she goes.
