Very Reluctant Sale of my '90 Spec Escort Rs Turbo!
It Has all optional extra's available including the fuel computer and power amplifier and still has the original radio fitted. I even have a duster cloth and demister pad in the packet which came with it new from the dealership (rates of grays essex).

Pretty much a Std car apart from being lowered on spax springs. koni adjustable shocks (front painted satin black). a milltek stainless exhaust. alloy rad and double capacity intercooler and silicone boost hoses. (I have a spare pair of rear koni's painted in black also i still have the original shocks to go with it. the original intercooler and brackets and radiator even though the rad had a little pin hole and boost hoses. I changed these to keep the originals good).
i've owned this car for just over 7 years. I bought it from a friend who had it sitting in the back of his garage for many years. It has 4 previous owners. In the 9 Years he had it he only did about 5000 miles in it. It has main dealer service history up until 82160 miles (lots of reciepts etc). It has only covered 89779 miles to date. i have only covered 6000 miles in it myself. nearly 4000 of those in the first year. It has been garaged for most of it's life.  
This car is in excellent condition. Has never been welded and doesn't need any. I have had lots of praise for the condition of the car over the years and a lot would say it's mint but to me a mint car is a concourse car and it is not a concourse car. i have stripped the front suspension and had everything blasted. primed and repainted in 2k satin black and fitted a set of poly bushes as rubber doesn't last when cars sit about. my intention was to do the same with the rear but never got around to it. But i do have a spare set of koni's painted ready to fit. I also had the wheels repainted last year. it has good year Eagle F1 gsd3 tyres. the spare is the original tyre.
The interior is in very good condition with a very slight bit of wear between the stitching on the drivers bolster i can take a pic of this and email it if req'd. I do have a metre square of the original grey material that'll go with the car.
the engine bay is in very good condition both trays are in very good order and i have sprayed waxoyl onto them. i have also acquired an engine bay decal set. new battery bolts. ht lead cam cover clip. cam belt. waterpump. rocker cover gasket and manifold gasket. one of my jobs was going to detail the engine. turbo etc. with a bit of paint and plating etc.
The only bad bit i know of on the car is the speedo. the last time i used it after i had mot'd it last year the speedo packed up i've had a look at it and found the drive in the gearbox has broken. i have a spare gearbox to go with the car which i bought from a fellow rs owners club member a few years back as a spare.  Mot'd it yesterday on the 24th may had one advisory which was o/s front tyre near legal limit. I do have a brand new tyre on a spare S2 alloy to go with it.  
I Have the rear poly bushes to go with the car. plus any parts i have removed/replaced with uprated and the new parts for the engine bay. a new set of no. plate screws and plastic grommets for the rear panel. the spare gearbox. a new tyre and a spare alloy and I have also aquired a std exhaust system for it.  
It is a 25 year old car and is in excellent condition but is not a brand new car so don't expect one.
I'm going to hate seeing this car go but due to lack of use. starting up my own business and not having the time to make it the car i want it to be! I know i'm going to regret this!
I have worked around cars for nearly 20 years working for an aston martin specialist for 18 of those restoring/detailing cars to the highest standards and my standards are very high.  
I expect anyone wanting to purchase this car would want to come and look at it. i'd prefer it to go to someone looking to keep it and make it as good as it deserves to be. for this reason i'll be starting the bidding quite high. but nowhere near the value. i'm not expecting the high inflated figure's that are on ebay at the moment. I know that at the moment it is difficult to find an original unmolested example for less than £6k.
