You are bidding on a 1969 Porsche 911S race car driven by Paul Newman. This race car is still owned by Newman Freeman Racing. and it is the last example available of the nine cars in the Newman Freeman Racing stable from the 1970's and 1980's. It was last raced in 2007 but has always been maintained properly and is PROFESSIONALLY PREPARED and race ready. Some minor rust and small dings as per raced era. Not a show car or trailer queen. it is in ORIGINAL. UNRESTORED CONDITION. BUT AS RACED BY NEWMAN FREEMAN RACING WITH GREAT PATINA.
This is NOT the car that Paul and Bill drove at Sebring in 1977 (see photo). This car was mainly used for private testing periods with Paul Newman and Bill Freeman at Riverside. Willow Springs. and Phoenix International Raceway. It was also driven in a few SCCA and Porsche Club events in the 1980's and displayed at various car shows.
Many receipts and misc Newman Freeman Racing team photographs and memorabilia are included in the sale. Great chance to own a VERY DESIRABLE 1969 Porsche 911S race car with an interesting history.
