 A very genuine and original r. h. d. Mercedes-Benz Pagoda 230sl automatic with power steering and three seats. the rear sideways seat being a fairly rare factory addition. All the mechanics have been re-built or replaced to a very high standard by John Haynes Auto Technics of Goring-by-Sea (mercedes specialists) and the engine is effectively a brand new re-build with new crankshaft & conrods. small end bearings. pistons and sump and re-bored to next repair size. A new hood has been fitted some 18 months ago together with all new whitewall tyres and original Becker radio with new aux connection and electric Ariel. New carpets have been fitted and the only thing that lets the car down are the two front seats which have been re-covered in some horrible latex material and need redoing in leather. for which I have been quoted around £1. 50.
The body is clean and in good shape considering that the car is 50 years old. but could be taken up to the next level if required.
I have owned the car for some three years and the previous owner owned the car for 29 years and was totally convinced that the current mileage is genuine. The car was previously registered in the Isle of Man so the first ten years of history prior to import is not available.
The car will be sold with a brand new mot  carried out by John Haynes and 12 months road tax. All genuine enquiries are very welcome. just drop me an email.
