TWO JAGUAR MK2's FOR SALE (Plus accumulation of parts) - NOTE WILL NOT SPLIT - SOLD AS A WHOLE

Thanks for looking. This is not your typical story of bought on a whim or bought with enthusiasm which has sadly passed. The reason for sale is unfortunately the result of a marital split. After hankering after a Mark 2 for so many years the dream and plan was to restore my own car. something to become my pride and joy. Sadly my dream is not to be realised. At the moment anyway !

So what do we have :

CGU 411B - This is a 1964 3. 4 Mk2 Auto - I have a V5 in my name. Typical rust points. bottom of wings F/R. crows feet. front cross member (for piece of mind) jacking points. wheel arches. door bottoms. boot lid bottom etc. Good points. boot floor and spare wheel well look good as does the panhard rod mounting point. I think she may have had new outer cills done at some stage as she was obviously tarted up during the 1980's considering the filler and fibreglass crud on the bottom of the front wings and not forgetting the glorious BRG paint job. Her original colour was metallic green and this is still evident in the boot area. Being an auto she has the original jaguar hydraulic power steering system. These I know are quite sought after. She came standard with reclining seats. However you will see in the photos I managed to track down some original reuters seats. Originally my intention was to convert this auto model to manual O/D and I had started aquiring a few parts such as MOD gearbox. fly wheel. starter motor. prop shaft. pedal box etc. Although not all these parts are photographed they will be included.

854 FGW - This is a 1961/2 3. 4 Mk2 MOD - I was in the process via the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club. going to apply for the V5. So far in the process I had received the Registration retaining forms and application for the V5. luckily there were still the remains of an April 1971 Tax Disc and I have obtained the Jaguar Heritage Certificate. This car was originally owned by Bishops Move (a London/Surrey based removal company) when it was first registered. This car did originally come with reuters seats but these where removed by a chap I brought the car through. So with the ones I have it can be renuited with its original fitment. Unfortunately this particularly Mk 2 has sat outside for many years and its body shell is really beyond redemption. The main parts I intended to have was obviously the identity and mechanics. wiring loom and any salvagable parts for rechroming. eg window trims. The interior is also pretty much shot and the clocks have had the glass faces broken. or vandalised by some idiot in the past.

PARTS - well the accumulation had begun. in main my search was for a decent bonnet. boot lid and a set of four doors. I got as far as what is shown in one of the photos. i. e 1 door. bonnet. and a pair of semi reasonable spats. which although do need some localised repair still had good bottoms. Originals always seem to fit better than repro's. There is also the parts mentioned above plus a tool kit (which is nearly complete) plus a few other odds and ends. spare oil filters. original glass lucas washer bottle. spare lucas head lamps. hand brake cables (new). fuse box and few other minors parts. but not siginficant in cost for a full restoration.

So hopefully my intention was clear. origianlly to convert CGU 411B to MOD but with aquiring 854 FGW I now had an original 3. 4 MOD identity.  Use a combination of the best of the mechanics to make one very nice and enjoyable Mk2 (A full engine rebuild and gearbox overhaul would have been done). I do have other supplementary photos which I can email on request. I would encourage and welcome viewings so you can assess for yourself. For all the wags out there. a can of cold start and fresh battery will not get you home in one of these. Both cars will need to be trailered away. Seperate dates for collection for each car would not be a problem although it would have to be a couple of weeks at the most. Thanks again for looking. and although the description might have sent you to sleep several times. there is a lot of info to cover.

Happy to answer any enquiries or questions. but please bear with me as I do work full time. Weekends are the best time for viewings. Thanks again and good luck.
