Sadly due to recent changes in my life i have to sell my 1983 van.
I have owned the car for the past 2 or so years now and have spent hundreds of hours and thousands of pounds working on here to make it into a really solid. Reliable and quick little van.
Since owning her i have done the following:
I stripped the car getting it ready for a new paint job as the paintwork was badly done and looked pretty tatty close up. and spent countless hours replacing the front panels. The only welding left to do is to weld in the offside front wing and finish the welding along the drivers door step panel. everything else is done!!
Structurally the car is now completely solid.
The doors are in great condition with no rust at all.
Rear doors are new.
All mechanisms for the doors and windows are present with new door and window seals.
Suspension and brakes:
Both subframes are in great condition and completely solid with Hi-Lo's fitted front and rear.
Poly bushed suspension all round. with a complete poly bush kit included as a spare.
Rear finned brake drums
Brake kits to fit either 13in wheels or 10in wheels. the kit for the 10in wheels is brand new and never been fitted.
completely refurbished brake servo and bracketry
2 sets of wheels are included in the sale:
13x7in deep dish minilites in need of refurb and come with worn tyres.
10x6in minilites in great condition. 2 tyre's will need replacing.
1275cc engine completely stripped. dipped and rebored to 1310. then rebuilt with the following:
balanced. tuftrided and reground crankshaft with new bearing to suit.
conrods were balanced to within 1g of each other
brand new pistons (balanced)
new oil relief valve
Sw5 camshaft with new bearings
new lighweight cam followers
Camshaft vernier (timing is set to 106 degrees)
double row chain and tensioner
New uprated oil pump
CNC machined combustion chambers
new valve guides
3 angled valve seats and bigger valves
ports were CNC machined and would be the equivelent of a stage4 cylinder head
Double valve springs
1. 5 high lift rockers
Completely stripped and cleaned with anything showing any sign of wear being replaced.

new roller bearings all round
new primary shaft
new X-pin diff
Sadly when fitting the clutch housing a bolt picked up on the threads in the block and a helicoil or time sert is now needed. The drop gears may also need reshimming.
The engine was rebuilt with all new bearings. gaskets and seals.
Also included in the sale:
*complete brand new. never been used megajolt kit with specialist components trigger wheel and bracket for sensor. the ford EDIS modlue and ignition coil are also included with new HT leads for the mini.
* brand new specialist component stainless steel. tig welded 3 branch manifold
* 2 V5 registration documents. one for a 1983 van and one for a 1969 (tax exempt) van
i'm sure i have missed out a couple more items included with the car.
This is a job lot and is really is a great little project with not a lot of expertise or further expense required to finish. I'll be sorry to see it go.
