Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera Coupe Sport, 1988, Rare Marine Blue

1988 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe Sport in the relatively rare Marine Blue metallic (L35V) with cream leather upholstery. Full service history. with a mixture of Porsche dealership and Porsche specialist (24 stamps). with large collection of bills showing work done. This is the later G50 gearbox version with the full Sport specification real whaletail spoiler. front splitter sport suspension. part electric front sports seats. It also has electric windows. sunroof and door mirrors. Options fitted to the car as well as the sport options about include limited slip diff. Bilstein shocks. full hifi. luggage compartment carpet (option codes in service book). The car has an approved alarm and immobiliser fitted to it. I have owned the car since 2008. and it has 8 previous owners. The car has an MoT until July 2014 and tax until Sep 2014. It has 159. 40 miles on the clock as of listing. of which the last 23. 00 miles has been with me. The Porsche option code sticker is still with the car in the correct position on the underside of the boot lid.  also in the owners service booklet. The wheels are the original body colour coded Fuch 16" wheels with locking wheelnuts and with good Michelin tyres fitted to them. The wheels are in great shape with one slight kerb mark on the NSF.

I will give a general overview first and then list specific deficiencies below:

Bodywork: In generally good condition with no fading and uniform deep colour all over. There are some minor cosmetic scuffs and scratches. The nearside sill / kidney bowl area has been fully restored by the Porsche Cambridge bodyshop in 2013.

Interior: Full cream leather interior in excellent condition apart from some wear on the driver's seat bolster. Two keys. I fitted a new Sony CD/radio with aux connection in 2008. All gauges and switches are working correctly except as noted below.

Mechanical: Starts first time every time and runs well. with minimal smoking. Oil use is normal and pressure is good at all revs. The gearbox changes into all gears smoothly when warm (a little notchy when cold). There is some noise from the box if you try and pull away in high gear/low revs but apart from that is fine.

Deficiencies as follows:
1. The front bumper is quite significantly stone chipped.
2. The metal inserts between the bumper and body are corroded. badly on NSF. somewhat on OSF. slightly on rears.
3. There is a rust area below the windscreen on the driver's side and a small area on the lip of the engine compartment.
4. There some paint bubbling on the offside kidney bowl area. the Porsche bodyshop did say it would be fine for some years.
5. The front number plate is in poor condition.
6. There is wear on the driver's seat bolster next to the door such that the piping is coming out.
7. The electric windows sometimes do not work.
8. The switches for the windows in the drivers door do not fit properly and protrude from the door card.
9. The button for the electric mirrors has fallen off.

Disclaimer - I am not a mechanical expert but have noted all the cosmetic and functional deficiencies that I am aware of. With this in mind the situation is very much sold as seen.
