For sale. a rare 1300 front wheel drive model. Originally not a TC it has had Twin Carburetors fitted at a later date. The car was kept in the same family from new up until last year when we purchased it. It had been partially stripped to complete some repairs so I bought it in pieces and built it up.
The engine has been built up from scratch with all new bearings. gaskets. seals etc and has only covered a couple of thousand miles. It starts almost instantly even when it hasn't run for a while.  Other new parts fitted include;Fully rebuilt S. U. carburetors - needles. gaskets. and rubbersClutch assembly - super rare and difficult to sourceBrake and clutch master cylindersBrake flexi hosesBottom ball jointsTrack rod endsComplete set of tyresPlenty of parts I can't remember off the top of my head. but as a result it runs and stops exceedingly well. I drove it from Sussex to Gloucestershire last summer and it was a slow but enjoyable trip in the second most comfortable interior I have ever sat in - the first being my Rolls Royce.
The bits that let it down are the paintwork. and the oil leak. The paint work has been rubbed down and built up and repaired and oversprayed. etc over the years and as a result it is quite poor. Some may enjoy the 'history' in the paint or the 'shabby chic' look but I would have it resprayed if I were to keep it. The timing chain cover is slightly misshapen from when it was dismantled by a previous owner. and as a result it leaks from the crankshaft seal. I will include a new seal. and a straight timing chain cover - also difficult to source for this engine. The wiper motor has also ceased to do its job. I will try and rectify and could possibly arrange something but at the moment it doesn't work and I am using Rain-X to drive in the wet (which in all honesty is a rarity).

The MOT expires in a couple of months but I see no reason why she shouldn't pass seeing as so many of the important parts are new. If I am being picky. the battery is old and could do with replacing. And the tracking isn't perfect so I will arrange to have that checked and adjusted for the new owner.
Any questions. give me a call.
