Welcome to streetdreamstexas online auction.   We are celebrating our 14th year in the classic and collectible car business.   There are several cars that symbolize the classic car hobby more than others. A 1940 Ford has been collectible every since the 41 was so drastically changed. so basically the day they rolled off the assembly line. It is just one of those iconic cars that most everyone in the hobby recognizes.   We have sold 40 Ford's very well over the years.  The fine convertible you see here is one of the most beautiful 1940 Fords we have ever had. It is a very rare color combination and looks terrific. The elegant. flowing lines. iconic grille. and sculpted fenders are to this day one of the most handsome designs ever in the auto industry. This convertible has been restored to a high standard and is absolutely beautiful. Of course it has a 221 CI Flathead V-8 motor rated at 85 HP. nicely detailed. freshly tuned. and running great. It is mated to a 3 speed manual transmission with column operated shifter first year for column shift. The immaculate interior is just like it would have come back in the day and looks fantastic. There is a little wear on the driver seat cushion but not so bad that it needs to be replaced. The bench seat is very comfortable and covered in correct fabrics. The dash is uncut and void of modifications. Believe it or not the contrasting burgundy inside looks great with the natural color of the seats and door panels. The cloth top is power operated and in excellent shape. I have lost count of how many 40 Fords we have had over the years but I sure do not remember one with a power top! It is rare indeed. The wide white wall tires are a must on a car like this. The chassis is super clean and is show quality front to back. The trunk is extra clean also.
