1968 Volkswagen Beetle 1500

First Registered in August 1968 with just 6 Owners from new

Historic Vehicle Tax Exempt and MoT to December 2014

MoT history from January 1997 when the car had completed 95000 miles

I purchased the car in October 2007 with a mileage of 125606

Mileage at last MoT was 127474

The car has been very lightly used during the last 6 years and is kept in a dry garage.

In July 2006 the previous owner had the car bodywork rebuilt by a specialist company. and refinished with a quality 2 pack paint – Rover Amaranth Pear base and High Solid lacquer top coat. span >  at a cost of £3400.

It is slightly lowered and fitted with 15” Eagle Emphi highly polished Alloys with a sports steering wheel.

A new carpet has been added. and the rest of the interior of the car is very tidy with original upholstery and panels –there are some small tears in the vinyll and the drivers door pocket needs repairing.

A further £1200 has been spent over the last few years maintaining the car to a high mechanical standard and sound bodywork. the outstanding requirement is to replace the door window and actual rubber door seals.

Whilst not yet a show winning car. it is well presented and provides both enjoyment as a running vehicle and as asound base  for full restoration to a Concours d'Elegance vehcle
