1996 Volkswagen Corrado VR6 STORM 73K, FSH!!!!!! for sale
Current customer rating: (565 votes ) based onIt comes with much regret that it is time to sell my Corrado “Wendy” VR6 Storm. I am a long standing Corrado enthusiast belonging to a number or local and regional clubs. This particular has been my second in the last 7 years and has been a fantastic car.
In brief:
· 1995 Corrado VR6 “Storm” (1 of 250)· One family owned from new. · Comprehensive documentation and Service History. · 73. 01 GENUINE Miles on the clock. · 6 Months TAX and 4 Months Mot. · Full component stereo system. · Cat 1 Alarm and Immobiliser· Genuine VW Carpet mats. · Original VW Rubber mats (Still with their tags!!!)· 4 New Toyo Tyres. · Recent full service. · Immaculate inside and out. Set of Standard BBS Solitude Alloys.
The car is genuine “Storm” edition Corrado being finished in the traditional Classic Green complimented with an immaculate cream leather interior which is in nothing other than pristine condition. The car before my ownership had only ever been driven as a Sunday car and this is shown in the condition of the seats. with all bar the driver's seat looking as if they have never been sat in.
When I purchased Wendy she had been owned by one family from new and has had a very pampered life living in a heated garage.
The Bodywork
The bodywork of the car is in superb condition and really has been cherished in the cars life being reqularly washed and polished. The paintwork has a superb lustre and looks amazing in the changing light with no nasty knocks or creases to the doors. wings or quarters.
Lifting the spoiler no rust is present (at all) which is testament to how well the car has been maintained as almost every Corrado I have seen has rusted in the welded recess.
She still retains the usual storm features such as the smaller front splitter and also the colour coded “Storm” grill and rear badge.
The Engine
The engine and gearbox in the car is absolutely perfect. running quietly with no noise from the chains or chain guides and has been meticulously serviced maintained and overhauled by myself. The power of the car is strong and smooth with a superb gear change and clutch action. The mileage being so low (73k) and the level to which it has been maintained has resulted in an extremely responsive and quiet engine unlike some that I have heard.
This is the only car that I have worked on where the oil maintains the clean appearance as if it has just been changed illustrating how the condition of the motor.
The Interior
As mentioned the interior is in PRISTINE condition with no marks. scuffs. tears and in my opinion is one of the best you will ever find in such a Corrado. The front and rear seats show no signs of wear and have kept the fresh light colour of a car that has been garaged unlike one that has suffered the effects of sitting in the sun.
The carpets are in excellent condition being graced with original VW carpet mats.
Extra equipment
The car is equipped with the original standard equipment triangle and first aid kit in the seat hump. She is also equipped with a Cat 1 immobiliser and alarm with a safety numlock key entry pad to prevent any chance of theft.
Wendy's previous keeper was the owner of a high end stereo supplier selling the likes of Mclaren speakers. and had the car completely soundproofed with Dynamat insulation to reduce the effects of road noise to give a quiet ride inside the car.
She is also equipped with a period component stereo system complete with Kenwood amplifier. to a Kenwood head unit with the addition of a concealed 6 disc changer in the glove box. The speaker lines have been upgraded to the very best quality and have been complemented with competition grade component speakers with independent cross overs.
Documentation
The car comes complete with the original VW leather bound owners pack with all of the relevant documentation from the owners guide right through the pre delivery inspection sheet.
I have a number of old Mot's and a comprehensive range of receipts.
Items I have replaced on the car:
· Battery· Ignition leads· Bosch Coil pack· Iridium sparkplugs. · Number plates (I still have the originals from new!!!)· Aerial. · Fan control module. Radiator fan switch and Temp Sensors. · Clutch Master Cylinder with fresh fluid. · Full service including top grade oil and filters. · Head skim and regrind of the valves. with top quality Victor Reinz headgasket and associated gaskets and also new stretch head bolts. · Inlet manifold has been vapour blasted. · New OE cat back exhaust.
I really will be sad to see Wendy go but I really do not have the time to do her the justice she deserves . This really is an opportunity to purchase a rare VW Corrado Storm with exceptionally low mileage.
The first to see will buy as this a superb appreciating classic.
