1987 Wrangler Rock Crawler For Sale:

Listed for sale here is a smoking deal on a Trail Ready Rock Crawler in amazing condition. Before I list the description and listed components. I will explain the history and reason for selling. I got into Rock Crawling in 2002 and acquired this 1987 Wrangler from the second owner. There was and still is a scuff on the passenger side front fender that I never bothered to repair. I just covered it with the Lexan fender guard (shown in pictures. It is the only blemish on the vehicle. After getting it to run the engine had 262. 00 miles on it and the transmission leaked fluids. The drive train was tired as the previous owner used it for commuting until it spewed too much fluid every day and he retired it. I changed the 4. 2 liter out for another used 4. 2 and rebuilt the transmission. I made some trail modifications and wheeled it 3 or 4 times a year for 2 years. In 2004. I had enough knowledge and parts to turn it into hardcore trail rig. There was not enough power in the 4. 2 so I acquired a high output (195 HP) 4. 0 Liter engine from a 2001 Cherokee that had roll over damage and 11. 00 miles on the odometer. I acquired the axle cores from a 1986 Grand Wagoneer with the Aluminum rims (Not on the Jeep right now) and had them built with high steering. lockers and manual hubs. The transfer case was rebuilt at this time. I disassembled the Jeep almost entirely and replaced almost everything except the dashboard and steering wheel. So just about everything on the vehicle has had attention. If there was something that didn't work right. I fixed it. I have the extra parts for everything that has not been repaired or replaced yet and they come with the vehicle. After finishing the build. I have been on the trail about 10 times over the course of 10 years. Life is busy and I'm tired of trying to get on and off Long Island to hit the trail. The Jeep gets about 100 miles of around town driving every year. This is barely enough use to use up the fuel. I have been meticulously maintaining the vehicle which is more time than I actually drive it so here it is for sale. I live on an island so it makes sense to me to own a boat. I bought a boat and want this Jeep to find a new home. maybe yours. The tires are 10 years old and should be replaced. There is now 274. 00 miles on the odometer. The engine now has about 13. 00 miles on it. The transfer case. drive shafts. axles have just over 2. 00 miles on them. There are no fluid leaks. This vehicle has never been on the beach. You could purchase a Jeep Rubicon and modify it for the trail for an additional $10. 00. 00  or just buy this one. put new tires on it and you are trail ready. I have spent $22. 00. 00 on parts (receipts available) and over 500 hours of labor. You can't duplicate this vehicle for the price I'm asking. I'm going with the nautical theme now.
