Triumph TR3A 1958.  Two previous owners. 54. 000 miles with some historic road rally history.  The previous owner had owned it since 1991 when he had the body off and it was prepared for historic road rallying.  It has competed in the Lands End to John O. roats and the Circuit of Ireland 3 times.  I purchased the car in January this year and have had the door bottoms re-skinned. the lower part of the front wings re-metaled two small patches welded into the passenger side floor and the inner and outer sills replaced. I have photos of the work carried out.  The car is structurally very sound and mechanically very reliable.  The previous owner used it every day  and since I have had it I have used it most days long and short journeys.  The engine pulls like a train.  it keeps a very good oil pressure all the time and does not smoke.  There is a minor oil leak from the engine which looks like it maybe the sump gasket.  The interior is in very good condition for its age and has some wear on the door trims and the carpets have been replaced.  Every thing works as it should. all the gauges. brakes and overdrive.  The paintwork is in pretty good condition with a few scratches and touchups but polishes up very presentable.   MOT untill July 18th although it is exempt.  This car has not had a nut and bolt restoration but is a lovely. usable classic that looks very original.  The reason for selling is I have been so impressed with everything about this car that  I have just purchased a very rare TR2 that I will have restored to keep.
