Triumph Roadster 2000 1949 - VRM: TML 634

Here is a fabulous opportunity to purchase a much sought after Collectors Classic Motor Car. This vehicle was owned and restored. under my fathers instruction. by Beales Engineering (Daimler and Lanchester Restorers) based in Leeds. in January 1987. According to correspondence from Beales. they state: "I am sure you can appreciate that by the time your car is fully restored it must surely be the very best Triumph Roadster 2000 surviving". The restoration work was completed in 1990 and was referred to. by Beales. nbsp;as being in "Concours Condition". nbsp;with an original mileage of a little over 30. 00 and a valuation (by Beales in 1989) of £30. 00. It goes without saying. nbsp;I have all the relevant correspondence from Beales Engineering. relating to the restoration work. including an engine rebuild in 1990. The cost of the restoration work carried out. including the purchase price of £9000. was in excess of £25. 00.

Since this time the vehicle has ventured out on several occasions to Classic Car Shows. where she was received with great enthusiasm. She has also been in attendance at a couple of weddings. and I believe she actually turned more heads than the brides did! Other than these short journeys she has not been used extensively and therefore not clocked up many more miles (currently 31641). The vehicle is. and has always been. nbsp;housed in a heated outbuilding and has been routinely maintained and serviced. including MOTs up until the last expiry date of May 2012. I have all the documentation in chronological order and I even have the stamped Registration Book from 1949.  

Sadly my father passed away in January 2012 and this beautiful Classic Treasure . my father's pride and joy . has been waiting silently for someone to reignite bye gone days. I am reluctant to part with this amazing piece of history. but I feel that there is somebody out there that could devote the time. love and passion that this car truly deserves. and I unfortunately cannot at present.  I have recently inspected the vehicle and fitted a new battery in order to fire her up. She runs fine but. understandably having remained stationary for the last two years. she will require some mechanical attention. The bodywork. with the exception of a few very small stone chips (hardly worth mentioning. but I feel the need to as there is so little to fault with this car). nbsp;and chrome work is fantastic.  The soft top hood is fully operational and still looks like new. as can be seen from the photographs. Inside the interior the leather bench seats. together with the dickey seats. are perfect with barely any wear at all. The steering wheel is also exemplary. having been recovered in the original grey material.
