1968 GT6 + (MK 2)

REPATRIATED FROM CALIFORNIA IN 2003. HAD THIS CAR FOR 10 YEARS AND DONE LOTS TO IT.

It started out with a rebuild and respray once it came over and used as daily car for 2 yrs. Then a Spitfire. Porsche 916 and Motorbike took its attention and it only came out from time to time and triumph meets.

Following finding a “spot off rust” on a door in 2010; said door came off followed by every other panel etc etc.   July 2012 saw it repainted. by me. in cellulose (more you polish the shinier it gets) with new rear valance. front valances and sills. The original great US bodywork had not stood up to daily use and the British Summer L. Still its now a real rarity – A triumph that's made only of metal!

I've loads of receipts and will pop to Willow Triumph to kindly ask to photocopy those that I've lost for the new owner. In short its had:

Rebuilt unleaded head with Carbs and K7N filters balanced and flowed.

New rear suspension rotoflex couplings and bushes.

Recent front springs

New Alternator and fuel pump.

Replaced cardboard engine valances with aluminium.

New HT Leads

Electronic ignition

New Battery

Cylinder head oil feed.

Braided brake and fuel hoses.

CDSE self-adjusting Stromberg Carburettors

New diaphragm kit.

Probably loads more. just drop me a line and I'll let you know.

Inspections. blessings or test drives welcome (obviously no insurance note no drive) But I'll happily take you for a spin J

“The stuff they never tell ya!”

I painted the car myself in cellulose. About 4 coats so should weather well. Its had 2 years to settle so there's a few wee blemishes and nicks. Ill settle the scratches and chips before collection and put a few polish layers on. Its just to be aware I'm not a paint sprayer and it's not 2 Pac. That said. I think it looks great and if its not shiny enough – Just polish! Its Celly.

Sometimes the drivers side rear suspension doesnt bounce back as quick - likely the bush that attatches to the chassis. I will strip and lube for new buyer ( The joint that is ;-))

Thanks for looking. any Qs? Just drop me a line Rodger 07971 408997
