Hudson

"Hudson", an American firm to produce passenger cars.



The company was formed in 1909. In the first year it was produced and sold over 4 million vehicles. The most famous was the Hudson with 6-cylinder engines used in auto racing. In 1930 the production program was included model with an 8-cylinder engine.



Another model - Hudson Hornet, though it was equipped with obsolete 6-cylinder engine, was invincible in all races conducted among production cars in the period between 1951 and 1954. Later, however, decreased demand for the model, and in 1956 its production was halted.



In 1954, "Hudson" has a joint venture with "Nash-Kelvinator Inc.". The new company was named "American Motors Corporation". Brand name "Hudson" lasted until 1957, after that car companies "Nash" and "Hudson" produced in an identical structure.
